Bamford did not look fit. Never was quick, but was lacking match sharpness which (to be fair) he had previously gained.

It sickens me to see this table and the goals.that strikers from lower teams have scored. Just thing of how many less opportunities they would have had compared to Bamford. And some of those have nowhere near the game time he has.
    Bring back Matt Smith!!

    1. Aleksandar Mitrovic. Fulham 23
    2. Ollie Watkins Brentford 22
    3. Lewis Grabban Nottingham Forest 17
    4. Jarrod Bowen Hull 16
    Karlan Grant Huddersfield 16
    6. Nahki Wells Queens Park Rangers/Bristol City 15
    7. Bryan Mbeumo Brentford 14
    Cauley Woodrow Barnsley 14
    9. André Ayew Swansea 13
    Lukas Jutkiewicz Birmingham 13
    Patrick Bamford Leeds 13
    Steven Fletcher Sheffield Wednesday 13
    13. Adam Armstrong Blackburn 12
Eberechi Eze Queens Park Rangers 12

Looking at our remaining fixtures ,,,, on paper we should still be ok, personally I doubt we will "romp" any of these games though.

Blackburn, Swansea and Derby away - all three looking to get into the play offs
Fulham - obviously looking to overtake us - Luton, Stoke, Barnsley and Charlton all at home - all looking to avoid relegation,

To be honest I think I prefer our chances at the away fixtures as at least they should be trying to beat us - the home games will be against teams parking the bus, and without Pablo's guile, and with Bumfluff our bloody main man its quite easy to see us drawing a couple of those!

team to watch - Brentford, If they beat West Brom next week they will be on a roll and after that theylike us have a pretty easy run in - on paper - meaning we just have to beat Fulham its a must win game - but after todays performance - not over optemistic.

The only players that did pretty well for me today where Ayling, Dallas, White, Klich and Philips [Apart from his cock up that cost us the first goal] the rest looked out of sorts, Particularly Costa, and Bamford

Have to say it - certainly wont be a romp, I'm just hoping the 7 point lead with 8 fixtures to go + Apart from Brentford none of our challengers looked too hot either yesterday, and I suppose we always knew that Cardiff are a bogey team - add Harris as their manager and it was a defeat isn't such a big surprise or issue, and we should/could easily have got a point today,

I hate to say this and I do not wish to dwell on todays game/performance/result but it was just like watching us during our bottle job last season.

Anyone else wish we had the PPG option like the lucky feckers in LG's 1&2???

Soon as i saw the fixture list it made me feel sick.

Today again we saw that we have a bunch of good lads who are in thrall to their master technician boss's strategy. They play the metronome game and don't have a plan B, as many of us have always said, partly because there's not one leader amongst them (apart from Pablo) - they are clearly really nice people, but it feels to me like Marcello likes yes men far too much, and maybe that's been his downfall over all these years. A snarling, angry, experienced CM today would've made sure the huge confidence dip after the first goal didn't happen. I guess Forshaw was signed for that, but haven't seen that side of him much, and he's barely played anyway. Our crowd home and away also plays a part for our players, i think, more than perhaps a lot of teams - we don't seem to be able to summon up passion and resilience when the chips are down - heads go down and whilst we kept trying, there was no real intensity from us throughout.

I think it could go either way now - play-offs a real possibility unless we get ourselves up for Fulham. A draw in that game and the WBA/Brentford game would mean going in to the Luton game 7 points clear still - wouldn't be a bad position to be in after today.

We missed Pablo big time today.

You can't rely on Bamfluff full stop so I personally think he is the key to us getting whats needed.

If you look on the bbc website under championship stats - Bamford’s are not encouraging. Only hits the target 43% of the time, 13 goals from 110 chances, 224 minutes per goal.

Bielsa analyses stats like no one else so why does he persist beyond stubbornness?

I know its only one game and there has been no damage done regarding the gap to 3rd but I don't half feel deflated by todays result.
Honestly fully expected us to get 3 points today even though they are a bogey side.

    What a pisser!

Agreed - not only didn’t Bamford score but wtf was the clearance off the line. To be fair Phillips was way too casual for their first goal (not unknown as good as he is) but we had some good chances.

with the way we play we need to not go behind at teams them pack the box and we struggle to break down.

White was good, thought Costa looked decent second half, Dallas looked decent too.

results yesterday meant it didn’t matter but need to pick up some wins soon
