More lunacy, if you're a blood donor in England you will have to wear a mask or you'll be turned away. If you're a blood donor in Wales, and you turn up wearing a mask, you'll have to remove it or you'll be turned away. The Welsh want to see your face, then they can detect early signs that you may be about to faint and injure yourself, the English are just blindly following the rules they choose to follow.
It's hard to know whether to laugh or cry.
How do you drink the tea and eat the biscuits wearing a face mask?
BT: You have told us you are a practical man! But in this case you face '' great bloody difficulty?''
It's easy really, think positive! How to do it ? You wear your mask, then taking a felt 'marker pen',You mark the area ,left side and right side of your mouth! Take off your mask, and breath again! (slowly) Place the face mask before you on some old wooden board ,or your old cricket bat. Then taking a knife you cut a hole in your mask. You may now wear your mask after the wife has made you ' tea and biscuits'. Eat all you want and drink to your hearts content. Take off your mask and with that ever ready super glue ,glue back the cut in the mask, so simple really, but if your local policeman is outside as was 'Dixon of Dock Green',call him inside to check your mask ,but offer him 'tea and biscuits' But maybe in today's world all the 'coppers' are down at the headquarters filling in useless forms?? Which is called progress! ( I myself drink coffee ,but the same procedure.
''Corrupt Power is tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of their choosing'' - Balam
George was almost correct!
Indeed he was Balam. Unfortunately, we now live in an age where many people have lost the ability to think for themselves, they have become too reliant on technology and things like 'Ask Alexa' or whatever it is called. They no longer use their brain, they use the web to seek guidance on whatever -----the problem is then that they will accept whatever they find without even questioning the answer or its providence. This fact makes the majority of the population very compliant to whatever they are told.
None of us know exactly what is going on with the Covoid19 scenario, however, we are being told that we can do this or we can't do the other and then the official line changes within days which just adds to the confusion. I just carry on as normal whenever I can, however, there are certainly restrictions which curtail my normal daily life.
It is us oldies that are blindly following instructions Super.
Many young 'uns are going to raves, celebrating en masse in Leeds, Liverpool etc.
Certainly the younger people here are much more free thinking and challenging of authority than the older generation, who are happy to accept stuff. OK, some moan about things but then conform and obey.
Nowt new there, we were all rebels back in the day!
So the young ones are doing what the government wanted in the first place by following the herd mentality which they said right from the start would be the best thing to curb the virus until a vaccine could be found.
Personally, I have no desire to go to a rave or celebrate Leeds and Liverpools' successes. I went out on Saturday to my local Indian restaurant which has just re-opened and I am out next Monday night to meet family at a local pub in remembrance of my sister-in-law who sadly passed away three years ago on 28 July 2017.
BT: What is now a 'normal daily life?' I also just do whats in my mind. In one respect there are no police in this village ,so I feel free. But I respect others just when I have to go inside a shop to buy, then when outside 'woooops' it off. After all ,we all know each other and their families.
59 _60: Is it to ''blindly following instructions ?'' And, 'happy to accept stuff? Or, out of respect to others? Oh! and rebels? Just all the laws changed when I started to meet .......girls!
