There’s no question that loads of money has been wasted. There’s also no way you can concentrate on spending resources ‘on the vulnerable’.

By all resources I mean resources for tackling Covid, the millions that's gone towards advertising this virus for example. That's what the scientists against lockdown have been suggesting. Protect the vulnerable and allow the rest of society to function.

The ‘scientists against lockdown’ by and large are fringe cranks with vested interests. The notion that the Vote Leave government we’ve been lumbered with would needlessly close businesses down is ridiculous.

‘The vulnerable’ aren’t some sub section of society that you can close off from everyone else. They live in the same household as others who wouldn’t be classed as ‘vulnerable’. Lots of people who aren’t classed as ‘vulnerable’ die from this disease, or suffer long term effects from this disease. There are no easy answers and to pretend otherwise is dishonest.

They proposed offering the most vulnerable a safe environment. It would cost money but no more than is currently being chucked into an abyss.

"Right-Wing Lobbying Groups Reviving ‘Herd Immunity’ in the UK"

And of course, the communist left have no political traction to gain from lockdowns ruining the economy and destroying the private sector.

Did you read the article, and if so what in particular did you disagree with?
