So your response to my point about your inaccurate and ill judged comment is to attack a post I made a while ago, which I posted prior to an updated announcement by the government? Thought so, thats your style, yes i posted a number which was out of date (though at the time the government were talking about mobilising the army because the programme was and still is not on track for the mid Feb target they publicly announced, but hey ho!

I didn't go AWOL, I actually ahve more interesting things to do then be on this forum arguing with people who in the main based their opinions on outdated and inaccurate prejudices.

As for posting crap and not responding, well I'd say your a prime example of that.

I work with a Chinese company who’s nationals have altered their opinions on the virus, to use the current phrase, ‘in lock step’, so under instruction imo to defend a position or deny a truth. Trump’s words stem from his xenophobia (in fact his disdain for anyone who isn’t him) but they were also factually correct and keeping the root ‘cause’ in the public eye therefore ‘right’ in effect not in intention

I’ll give up on late night witticisms
I’m honestly not sure what you’re saying he was ‘right’ about. He was of course ‘factually correct’ in saying that the pandemic originated in China but is that it?
As MA suggested there are ways of saying this that transcend mere language and Trump certainly knew how to do that in an attempt to both divert and divide.
Strictly speaking it should always have been called ‘SARS-CoV-2’ anyway, but that would probably have led to widespread panic.

Moving on to a comparison which is intended to be helpful or at least informative.
My contacts in the US (eastern NJ to be precise) report that schools have been shut since Thanksgiving (last weekend of November) but that beauticians, hair dressers and nail bars remain open while restaurants and bars are still allowed to open up to 25% capacity.
The inconsistency of our World leaders frankly beggars belief, and I’m told the situation and attitude to Covid in California is little short of insane.

OK you can't or won't exrtrapolate a single incident to a wider viewpoint so I'll give up

Re California, my pal Marcel says he's banned from doing gigs because he can't play in front of an audience, yet he goes down to his local club where he used to play Sundays, and the place is packed with those same punters - effectively the only thing missing is his music...

Coming from some one who rarely has anything interesting to say is quite funny

You see, unlike rA and MA, you have the magic touch of making points I find it difficult to disagree with. I'll pass your observation on!

Trying to identify anyone in the population that you've not described as a ****, an ***** or a **** might be another one to occupy your time, such folk are becoming increasingly difficult to pinpoint, once you've discounted Leave voters, folk who respect the referendum outcome, Conservative voters, old people, and anyone who disagrees with you about anything.

Perhaps we should make commissioning of a new series of Mrs Brown's Boys the UK's next referendum issue. I don't know anyone who doesn't either absolutely love it or absolutely hate it (I'm in the latter category)
