It's been like that for a good while. I think it goes back to the time he turned down Sunderland/Rangers. It feels like he wishes he hadn't been talked out of it. At a conservative estimate he's probably made £5M during his time here , as he'll be paid in full for remainder if he goes. Not bad for one diddy cup in return.
