Counter attack? You know that they are winning 1-0 and can sit on it? We don’t have the players for it either as we are hardly blessed with pace.
I would go 4-3-3. Take off Sam and Enzio and throw on Knowles and Effiong. Go more direct. I would leave it for 15 to see if we get a reaction first before making those changes.
That was the least we have been involved in a half as we've been all season. Apart from the first five minutes Cheaterfield have excecuted their pushing and pressing tactic and it's worked very well for them. We've not been able to stamp our authority on the game. Maybe the plan was for us to try and get an early goal and then protect it?
I do think that something needs to change in the second half as this simply cannot continue otherwise the game will be gone and we will lose. We are like an away side and too many players have been anonymous as well. We need to have our own spell of play, possession and passing and threat in the opposition half. The question is do we try to play to our style or do we try to play Cheaterfield at their own game and be more direct to which say Effiong may come on?

With Sutton 3-0 up and Torquay at home this evening we can't afford to drop points today whether you look at the real table or the PPG table. We've been on a good run, but this is where some of those silly defeats earlier in the season have left us with no margin for error.
Still time to turn it around though. COYP!
Well we absolutely got battered that half. Have to get on the ball the 2nd half, they need to be brave with the ball and pin them back a bit
we started well but faded badly. its not surprising we have struggle to keep the ball given we have to bring everyone back for any throw within our half.
final ball is awful, no one to blame for that but players.
Not good at all so far. I have to say though I don't think us being bad today has anything to do with showing Chesterfield too much respect, complacency or anything like that. We've simply been below par across the entire 11, while Chesterfield have looked lively and dangerous.
Pilling has looked uncertain at times which isn't helping, but when Chesterfield have had the ball, they've looked to stretch us and have asked us questions. When we've had the ball we've tended to just give it away.
I'd certainly take a point at this stage. As ever under Ardley it seems, Notts playing well can never last too long.
