I would also argue that it is not they who set themselves up as anything.
It is Joe Public who sets people up to be some thing or another, whether it is royalty or the thousands of non-descripts who have been made celebrities for doing nothing at all.

As we have seen with the events of the last two years, it is not difficult to influence Joe Public. Many people just do not think for themselves, in fact, I think that many have lost that ability, they would rather ask the bird in the computer!

Andy and his team have offered sufficient cash to change the mind of his accuser who said that she would never accept a settlement! As usual, money talks and that is why I never get anywhere because, although I have enough and am happy with my lot, I do not have enough to influence others. Plus ca change in my 75 years and probably not for the next 75 years, in spite of the efforts of all and sundry.
