Thread: Score, scorers and attendance predictions vs. Wrexham 30.08.21 [NL]

If you watch the torquay highlights against altrincham you will see that they were a little unlucky to lose..Altrincham scored some nice goals and defended like their lives depend on it.Torquay pumped balls into the box,as they do,but were denied by players putting in some tremendous blocks.
I'm not sure what went wrong today but going g down to 10 men didn't help them trying to come back from 2 down.
Notts should have beat them it was that simple we had the chances I think Torquay will still be up there with the best of them.

Not so sure on that one. Surprising results will happen, but not that often hence the term 'surprising'. The Torquay result was disappointing for me because we are the only team so far who has failed to beat them, despite us playing against 10 men for most of the game.

A solid and decent start is a fair description, and you can draw positives and negatives in equal measure. Onwards and hopefully upwards over the next few games.

Which we are all witnessing now. Still, enjoyed the game tonight. Good result. Choo Choo.
You don't know who Victor Meldrew is??? I'm shocked!!

He was a pretty big deal and very well known for a lot of the 1990s. Have a google it won't take more than a minute or so to see the similarities.

Woody you just keep being pessimistic and concentrate on the negative whenever you can, predicting Notts to lose and let them prove you wrong with a positive result. Works for me

I know about Victor. Not a programme I watched. I assumed his brother was pertinent in some way. Googled. He was deaf. My ears ok thanks. Pessimism/ realism. All a matter of opinion. Optimism/happy clappy the same. You just continue to find a bandwagon to get on board, until the next thing comes along for you to sign up to.

Cheeky mare. How old are you then? Notts have made me much older than I should be I reckon! Anyhow, being an optimist is a far less miserable way to live. Each to their own though of course! We need a balance of optimists and pessimists and even a few of those tedious realists in the middle ground thrown in for good measure.

By the way, if I am a leader of a happy, clappy cult (and I am perfectly happy to be!) does that make you a leader of a sad, boo-ey cult?

P.S. For what it's worth I also found the Torquay result disappointing.
