Also Emma Watson was born in Paris . is she French? .Its up to the individual what country she represents she has spent 16 of her18 years here schooled here grew up here imho it would be strange for her to rep either Romania or Canada . She British she ours and it refreshing to see how good she actually is .

Somewhere down the line very few of us are "purely" British given that over time we were invaded by the Romans, Vikings and French. Grow up and just enjoy the fact that we have a brilliant talent who is a credit to this country.

My son was born in France and his grandmother was German. He had the opportunity to represent the USA and Singapore at sport which he also played at a high level at school in England and at university in Ireland. He now lives in the US and recently married a Dutch girl. The world has become
a much smaller place and its younger population much more mobile and global thinking than most of us were when we were having our minds shaped.

I, for one, am pleased to see this.
