    Never mind eh?

Scapegoats R us...blame the weakest members of society rather than the most powerful.

Why not be more vocal against the powerful rather than the powerless? When you have stopped doffing your caps to them that is...

Disabled Falklands veterans are furious after a hotel cancelled their bookings for this summer's anniversary events to make room for migrants.

Scores of former Parachute Regiment soldiers chose the venue in Aldershot, Hampshire, for its proximity to ceremonies taking place on Saturday, June 18 to mark the conflict's 40th anniversary.

I said typical 4* hotel price. You've cherry picked a specific hotel unrelated to the article... and how many stars is it?

I'll give you a clue, it's not 4. You pay up!

Accusing me of having Kerr as an alias is incredibly flattering. It simultaneously complements me, while also making you look a bit daft! Keep at it!
Because the hotels quoted were the "grand" and the "metropole" who currently house them

    Just pay up!!

I was against the Falklands war as many millions were but I have a lot of sympathy for the soldiers
who had to go and fight a war just to keep Thatcher in power whether they wanted to or not. The government should look after them. Blame the govt for doing that not asylum seekers.

So they should but the asylum seekers shouldn’t be here. We owe the soldiers a debt, but not the asylum seekers.

The only way you will stop asylum seekers coming here is to help make the countries they live in less sh it for them to live in. A fairer world =less discontent with personal lives. If you were born in Afghanistan wouldn't you want to be getting out to somewhere better? You can hardly blame people for wanting a better life for themselves and their families can you?

They cross other suitable countries to get here.

    Why is that?

Because we are a soft touch

Roly the reason why we defended the Falklands was to retain a base for Antarctica and potential mineral reserves there and in the South Atlantic
The fact that it kept the PM at that time in post was a bonus

What we will now find is more gripe against the refugee's, with the price hike in energy prices,
national insurance contributions, fuel, taxes to come ?, council tax & rent increases with councils,
also the interest rate going up, bringing more to pay on a mortgage.
Which can be understood. be it the refugees have not paid into the system yet get housed, spending
money, free health care on the NHS, no taxes.
To me a person should not be able to claim benefits, until they have paid at least 2 years national
    insurance & taxes.
The problem lies with the U/K giving wily nilly benefits out, so is looked at as free paradise haven
for all nationalities to come for the freebies.
I remember quite a few years ago, when all councils were giving £10 a week vouchers to put on their
mobile phones, I had insider knowledge from a Rotherham M.B.C,. employee, when I confronted
councillors, they said how did you find this out, which I would not divulge, plus other things I found out,
but all councils were doing this, along with free travel passes, while we were paying council tax to fund
    this.
Council tax in Rotherham going up 4% this year, with rents going up around 3.8%, which means on a
council tax bill of £1,200 brings a increase of £48 per year, with a rent increase on a council bungalow
brings a increase of around £14 a month.
