Agree, I think getting him in is the first price of the jigsaw, wouldn’t surprise me if a deal has been lined up prior to January

If that's the case then it's a very proactive and necessary move by the club.

Won't be long before we find out.

I really hope not, but it does look that way.

Yeah possibly, I think if someone offers 400k plus we will sell or alternatively it’s as Burchnall said there’s going to be issues with covid so we need plenty. Brunt seemed to say he would have to fight for his place, though I imagine Sheff U have said more or less they want him playing nearly every game and we have gave them assurances. It could also be Cal not Ruben, as there seems to be noise around him.

Looks like Pompey have just sold a striker (Ellis Harrison) so I'd be surprised if they don't make some sort of bid for Woots this window, as Cowley clearly likes him. But it may be derisory.

Personally I think We will try and keep Woots until the end of the season in the hope that we win promotion. The plan would then be hopefully for him to sign a new contract with us with new and improved terms that would reflect him playing in a higher division and his worth to us.
For me the dilemma would be whether to cash in on Rodders or Cal as we can afford to lose one of them from the team (but not both) but it would need to be a sizable offer to make it worth while.
The other possible problem and my biggest fear could be all these scouts coming to see our front three might stumble onto the fact that we have a more than useful centre back which they could see illuminating their team !! For me this would be the biggest obstacle we would have to face if he was teased away from the lane to pastures greener. I think we saw how he was missed in the poor 3 game run we had. A hard, determined , commanding, ball playing centre back are harder to find than rocking horse manure !

Lets hope they go for Tshimanga, instead.
