Really happy for Sam, thought he was decent against Wrexham bar his miss, hopefully this will give him some confidence because we will need him at some point in the run in.

Tonbridge Angels and Needham Market both beat NL clubs on pens. Wouldn't mind drawing Needham Market, pick up a bit of shopping

On the positive side of things, they have played KL twice and Dover once.

I think Stockport are the main challenge to top spot anyway.

Unless I'm losing my marbles, some sites - including the BBC - have calculated the NL table with Wrexham beating Altrincham 3-0 rather than 2-0 on 28th December, which is wrongly placing them above Stockport.

Maybe only the Mickey Mouse Cup, but it's another win... momentum... Also we beat a "bogey" team... yippee!

Not our strongest team, not at our best, (especially 2nd half), but still won. Well done Notts and especially Sam.

To be honest, rightly or wrongly, I’d pretty much given up Eli having a Notts future, but in his last two games he has shown real signs of improvement….especially today. He played in almost a kind of 10 role at times and his touch and strength on the ball were really good. He brought others into play and his decision making was night and day better than what we’ve previously seen from him. I’d wager that he had more touches or meaningful contributions today than he has since the entire time of him arriving at Notts.

Fair play to him. He took his goals really well and I could feel his relief when he scored the second and covered his face with his hands! A poster on this thread already said he could become a cult hero….maybe, just maybe!
