What the hell does "Notts-Happy-County" supposed to mean? I'm can't work out the reason for that addition.
It's clear to me like Jackal suggested that Jumper Jim is the BIG fish in a very small pond so runs roughshod over everyone at the club#yesmen

I fully agree with the poster who says "if you’d really been worried about damp grass and fought a bit harder, you wouldn’t now be in the gutter of proper non-league". We are here because we deserve to be here, but that isn't the issue in this case. The National League has now become a proper Division 5, it's no longer "the days of part time players aiming for the pinnacle of non-league football". Surely it's not too much to ask to show fans of other clubs a bit of respect, not because their club is bigger and wealthier, but because they are fans. Dover are a small club, but that doesn't mean they have to act like a small club.

It was striking that there was no acknowledgement or appreciation that Notts players, staff and fans had previously endured a 420 mile wasted round trip, and that it was understandable that Notts officials were only trying to do the right thing by their supporters. By wanting to know what was happening it could limit the risk of fans having another 420 miles wasted trip, or give them enough information to make their own judgments.
It's not very good for hundreds of people to have to endure a 840 mile round trip, the time, expense and distress and inconvenience that it would cause for absolutely nothing had the game been postponed for a second time at say 4 or 5pm. For what it's worth I think the matchday referee made a sensible and reasonable call to bring a conclusion to the uncertainty at 2pm.
It has to be remembered that Notts fans are Dover's customers as well, and will be when we do finally play Dover. Our fans will want to buy tickets, food and maybe a programme or a beer at the ground. That's all money for Dover Athletic.
I'd like to think that Dover will do something as a good will gesture for Notts fans when we do play them, but based on the Chairman of Dover's video it seems doubtful. Maybe upon reflection their chairman will see things from a less emotive perspective and will reach out a welcoming hand of friendship and mutual respect to the Notts players, staff and supporters.

One has to say it was a fantastic speech from their chairmen done from the comfort of their changing rooms whilst donning a lovely hand crafted sweater knitted one can only assume by his grandma.
However to emphasise his totally convincing points wouldn't he have been better taking his camera out onto the pitch to emphasise how good the playing surface was and giving us a panoramic view of the surroundings to gauge what a lovely bright sunny day it was with not a rain cloud in the sky !?
