Yep but not a bigger capacity ground?

Some really good posts and interesting views. He could use them as a stepping stone if he does well which he would have done IF he leaves NL Notts County to join L1 Forest Green.

Agree with Hoppie about being disappointed to potentially lose such a promising manager albeit who is yet to achieve success (promotion) at Notts. IF Notts don't get promoted and IF IB then leaves then am I safe in saying he's not been successful for NCFC but has had a successful stint at Notts as he will have moved up 2 divisions and assumably earns a bigger annual salary at his new club? If so, that would be disappointing but hard to avoid. Like I said earlier you can't blame him for taking the job if we lose in the playoffs.

Haven't we had previous with FGR over some transfer or other which resulted in a falling out? Think it was during Hardy's reign. Easy to shrug that off now as "Hardy? Well he must have been in the wrong then," but I'm not sure that was the case.

Didn't Mark Cooper go there after being at Notts?

Have to be honest, I just want us to go up and if IB can get it done I'll be forever grateful ( and surprised ). If he moves up to L1 after who could blame him. We would get compensation and the chance to get quite possibly a better man in.
If we don't go up and also lose Wootton and maybe a couple more it may be best that we get a fresh man in as there could be a nasty hangover Kevin Nolan / Colin Murphy style. Twenty goal strikers aren't easy to replace, he's a bit of a talisman and the remaining squad will likely need some geeing up and a fresh page turning.

It would open a door to some players making the jump to a league one team. It's similar to when Mark Cooper left us to join FGR and took Liam Noble with him albeit on that occasion FGR were in the national league and we were in L2.

Yes that's the one. Can't remember any of the details now other than that it dragged on a bit and FGR didn't play nice.

Cooper only had a short term contract until the end of the season. He must have realised what a bunch of to**ers were running the club, and thought I'm off.. And who could blame him...
