What do you mean "lack of attractiveness"? Even if they don't fancy the town centre there's some lovely little places to live roundabout: Brinsworth, Maltby, Rawmarsh, Rossington, Swinton, Sheffield.....I could go on. (but I won't)

The problem is SCM there are some lovely places to live around Rotherham (including in some of the boroughs you mention) but unfortunately the town is 'scarred' with certain events and the town centre doesn't help it's cause from what I've heard these past few years.

I'm not sure that most of our players( apart from the locals) have even see the town centre( maybe from a open top bus)......

You mean PW and TS don't take the prospects on a walking tour of the town to see all the highlights before popping into the County for a pub lunch

If there's an fan event, it's usually at Parkgate if it's not at the ground.

Alright south coast, just because you’ve moved down south there’s no need to rub it in 😂

How many players do people think live in Rotherham (town or borough)? Yes there might be some at Wickersley or Waverly, but it depends on their age and family life, and if they are already settled in somewhere. I'm sure the younger ones would rather be in Leeds or Sheffield than Rotherham town centre, and the commute from those isn't that strenuous, especially the hours footballers do during the week.

I agree with most with regards to the town centre or the town's perceived lack of attractiveness having nothing to do with who or who we do not sign.In fact you could say that the geographical position of Rotherham is very central to the whole of England and most places can be accessed within 3 hours.Years ago I had a short conversation with Ian Holloway and he said that when he was manager of Plymouth, the biggest headache of them all was getting players to go there simply because of location.
