I think both Ardley and Burchnall were affected by what is known as 'The Curse of Notts County'.

How many times in the last few years have we brought Managers to Notts and they have 'underperformed' to say the least, then gone on to much better things. Mark Cooper is another.

While Notts have been languishing in the lower divisions and a new manager comes to the club, they think that it will be an easy job to get us out of the mire, but fail in a big way.

Then they go on to smaller clubs in higher divisions, the pressure is off and so they can express their style and succeed.

I think we need a big name who will see the club for what it is currently. A 'once upon a time' club still trying to live on it's past name. Hopefully they won't be overawed by the situation and get us out of this god-awful league.

Well apart from them wanting to play a certain style(tippy tappy), and instructing the coach to implement it. They've not imposed much at all.

I just believe NA was a better manager brought in better players who even as recently as Monday filled the majority the 11 shirts that started the game. Indeed IB’s best signing was who exactly? Weve gone backwards
You mean who was the boards best signing

I said at the time it was crazy to have sacked NA and replace him with IB
IB,s appointment baffled me , due to timing, and his limited experience
I have read all the excuses, attractive football, less goals conceded, higher ppg for IB, but the only stat that matters is the final league position and progress in the play offs, which Ardley finished better in both

He got us relegated and in this division. Go watch his last post match interview, the Board had no option but to move him on.

Would he come back now and do a better job than before, maybe he would?

Crazy to sack the worst Notts manager ever!!!! Lol.

So after continually comparing NAs PPG against other Notts managers that's no longer important it's all about finished league position. Ok. Well you repeatedly said that Notts best chance was NAs first season due to the squad we had and parachute payment and he didn't manage it. Didn't that give him an advantage over IB? Or did but not not anymore since your U-turn?

Wasn't NA 6th when he was sacked and IB finished 5th? Might have to check that one but that's what I recall

Pedro and yourself played the same broken record so many times you can't honestly expect everyone on here to forget surely?!!! Views can change that's fine, people's views get clouded but don't try and rewrite history and what you wrote dozens and dozens of timeszzzzzzzzz

    Laddo stop cherry picking inforamtion
You know Ardley was 6th when he left, IB came in and did very poorly and we fell to 10th, before recovering to 5th
My belief is we would have finished higher with NA, and got further in the play offs
The other excuse given by owners and supporters, was the timing was to give IB the best chance to prepare for the following season, well that did not work out well as we finished 5th again
