Scales is Aberdeen’s best defender by a distance….it’s a pity he wasn’t our player.

I suppose the mindset is that we can accept getting horsed from Timmy 4 times a season ( If in top six) as long as we are winning the majority of games we should by winning I.e against your “lesser” teams if you will. I’m not sure I entirely agree with it but it’s a fairly logical tactic that should see us in a better place than last season although that wouldn’t be too hard.

I just hope we can buy the lad from Celtic and make him our player. I don’t like the idea of loaning players who make a big difference to the team when they play but aren’t allowed to play in certain matches (and that is when you really need them to be there). We shouldn’t ever loan a player from the same league again. We should definitely be signing this lad outright….we have the financial backing nowadays.

The easiest thing to have done is for the SPFL to ban it. But with that waanker Doncaster only interested in getting dosh in, and diverted to his favourites, such simple and effective action isn’t on. The chances are that the clubs are happy with current arrangements, and would be up in arms should the suggestion ever be made.

Didnt see the game live as was out and about yesterday - but saw the highlights and have to say i liked a lot of what i saw.

Played some lovely stuff in spells - goals 3 and 4 in particular were things of beauty.

My mates a St Mirren fan, he said Goodwin has an eye for a player, based on what I’m seeing I think we can vouch for that.

Scales and Stewart are excellent. What a difference. Scales is the better though as his passing and distribution is better.

Kennedy showing what he can do. Hayes enjoying life and Miovski will be a star for us. Enjoy him while he’s here.
Special mention for young Clarkson though, what a finish - absolute screamer.

To come in under those circumstances and play like that is to his eternal credit. Bodes very well for the season. It’s also great to see a club like Liverpool seeing us as a good place to develop their young talent. Ok you’d always prefer these guys to be your own player, but we are where we are in the football pecking order, so need to try and benefit from these type of arrangements where we can. Certainly preferable to loans from your own league - though if we can get Scales signed I’d be very happy with that.

I said last week Ramadani needed pace and energy next to him. He got it yesterday and seemed to benefit.

Great to see Duk break his “duk” too - tidy finish so keep it up loon.

That’s much more like it AFC. Same time next week. COYR ⭐️⭐️

I would like to think that the plan is to sign him up permanently and I’d like to think that would be sooner rather than later. It’s high time we started playing hard ball instead of being their bitches. We need to be trying to get this lad signed up in January on a permanent deal and if not cut the loan deal short and bring in someone else .

They'll be watching to see if he improves our team and wanting him back if he does.

    It's f'uckin BORROWING!

Should be banned, but as it works in the richer clubs favour, it never will be.

100% this. Or even, on taking him back, use his enhanced form to sell him to a club with a far bigger kitty than ours.

    Manky establishment capitalist *******s.

Good to see everyone happy at AFC, players and supporters.

Of course it is early days and playing against a 10 man poor St. Mirren side is not a great barometer. But the whole team and subs looked genuinely interested yesterday. Everybody wanted on the ball and actually tried to entertain which is a novel concept.

Apart from the two injuries, everything else was superb about yesterday, even the pie was decent.
