Precisely in my days, you had a contract club that could dictate. Say you want to go they facilitate a trade to suit the club. Too much freedom this overpaid hyenas have I guess we need dictators like Putin Xin and N Korean tosser to fix things lol

If true he is refusing to play then I hope the club takes a stance and makes him train on his own, doesn’t pay him whilst he refuses to play and imposes such other penalties it can.

He might want to leave but refusing to play is ridiculous.
he signed 5-year contract f him to keep paying him and not play him for five years. A couple of times a player here refused to play and they made him sit out their entire contracts. Like I said in another post these spuds have it too good and can do 3what they like.

Not quite sure understand the outpouring of self-righteous indignation wrt Gnontos desire to leave, even if that has extended to not wanting to play (which is still unconfirmed, despite what Farke is quoted as saying, I won't believe it until it is made official, one way or another).

The lad is young, yet has a senior cap for Italy, and has scored for his country. He is one of the very few current Leeds players who, despite his clear need for greater self-discipline, has excited the supporters playing both home and away and in the PL and EFL. We got him for a song, one of the VERY few credits Orta deserves, however I suspect that like all those who have departed after a very short spell at ER, he was promised PL gametime, and with it the exposure on the world stage of football. He's not going to get that this season, and might not for some time and so the "bargain" that was struck when he joined isn't being delivered (in his eyes, his agents, and/or his parents).

Which of those who have voiced their disgust at the lads desire to leave wouldn't do the same (perhaps HAVE done the same) when a promised future fails to materialise? "Walk a mile in my shoes".

Btw, he may have played in 24 PL games, but only with 56 mins per game on average, and at least he has scored for us, unlike a certain Mr Rutter for whom we paid SEVEN times as much as for Gnonto.

I'll keep this up to date folks every time a new player for the first team squad arrives at Leeds United this season (and prices if they're to be believed)

    Ethan Ampadu - 7m
    Karl Darlow - 400k
    Sam Byram - Free

I suppose we are expected to get excited about ANY incoming player, no matter what their credentials or what they may offer as an improvement to what we already have.

Dowler plays 12 first class(ish) games in three seasons and lo and behold Rodon has played 30 games in three seasons, and can't get a game.with his "owning" club for the last two seasons.

Real statement of intent from our "ambitious" new owners, like f00k.
