It’s not about that imo some posters on here resent the flak PW took and imo again they can’t wait to point out MT mistakes because it somehow justify the job PW did.
Maybe PW took too much stick from people like me I don’t know but imo again some on here can’t hide there resentment towards MT because they feel as one poster said above we have a love in for MT.
Like I said it’s ok but just deal with the facts right now he needs to be better. Some posters only post when we lose. Against Norwich nothing after such a good display. It’s just my opinion i was honest about Warne but recognised when he achieved some on here can’t do that with MT it’s imo obvious.
One thing I wish everyone would accept is that we stayed up last season because of a joint effort, ie BOTH managers contributed to that outcome.

Josh Vickers went on a free
    Ogbene went on a free
    We didn't want? Wes Harding

3 players we should have been keeping I don't care what anyone says. The fact we got nothing for them is criminal in its planning and projection.

MT prob got sick of Warney this Warney that and said hang on a minute I'm manager and cleared out all the Warney brigade in one hit. IMO too much too fast. We now have no identity and I'm not sure he knows what it is either.

You don't go to a club and rip the heart of its identity out of it - it's asking for failure

If we were going to get a reasonable fee for either of those it was well before MT came onboard. By the time the Christmas transfer window opened they were worth more to us as players for the remainder of the season. Wes just didn't want to be at RUFC any more so no point in keeping him.

As depressed as i am with our recent performances and the quality of some of our signings, I hope MT turns it around and keeps us up, just so we can stop talking about bloody Paul Warne, his time is over he left us and there were good things and bad things about his time with us, he is gone, if people want to keep talking about him, go on the Derby forum or send him messages on facebook or whatever social media he is on.

jargon word bingo, it is all the fashion to put a series of words into an interview to make it sound good.
Whatever he means by it, isn't good for his explanation. Basically he said that in structured games (SG) we do well and can get results, in Unstructured games (UG) we cannot. So this states that we only prepare and have the players that can play in SG and our tactics, coaching and players fail in UG. So the obvious questions are
    1. What are you doing about preparing for UG
    2. Isn't it easy for teams to say hey Rotherham can't play UG lets do that
    3. What % of games are UG games to SG, if there were only 10% of UG games, perhaps it isn't a problem

As I am sure you can tell from the breakdown of the terminology, it is all "male testicles" it is just random words to say in an interview by someone trained to deal with the press and it means nothing, it is a way to confuse and hide the problems, that are actually visible to us all.

    1. Set pieces are poor both attacking and defending, especially when Cafu doesn't play.
    2. A lot of the players bought are gambles ("misfits")
    3. We have spent a lot of wages on players that won't play many games, leaving huge gaps in the matchday squad.
    4. We currently do not have a way of playing away from home (1 year on!!)
    5. We have stopped the high press game (no idea why, might be because of item 6)
    6. Our players are not fit enough (MT says our players were tired on Wednesday, they have just had 2 weeks off playing, previously he has said our players are tired at the latter stages of games)
    7. The level of injuries and the time to recover, indicates a deep rooted underlying problem at the club.
    8. Our best players are the ones that were here before (Viking, Odofin, Humpreys, Rathbone, Fergie, Lindsay (MT mentioned him) and even Bramall)

I am sure others have things they can spot as well, that is just my list my opinion based on listening to what is said and watching nearly every game (admittedly remotely due to where I live)

You can only keep players who want to stay, Ogbene was NEVER going to sign a new contract, it wasn't in his interest to sign a new deal with us. We all knew he'd we able to get a move on more money to a club higher up, and most importantly, so did he. The other option was to sell him, and without him we'd have more than likely gone down last season as he was our top scorer. The club couldn't win.

Do you want us to put a gun to their heads? Vickers and Harding both wanted to leave, add Ogbene to that who always stated he wants to aim higher

It was me that made the "love in" comment and once again I'll say that I don't resent MT at all.

What I do resent is people thinking he's some sort of football wizard who's superior to what's come before because he managed to fumble and stumble his way to a survival - after major backing from TS.

These same people won't hear the argument that so far he is simply Alan Stubbs with better PR.

Theres been maybe 12 good performances since hes taken over with too much dross of a squad that simply appears to have turned up on the day having never seen each other before.

Isn't he just saying that in the early part of the season, as the team forms and faces different formations, that we seem to do well against ST and not well against UT. And therefore the obvious continuation that I think is too obvious for him to need to say it, is that we have to adjust the team going forward to perform better in adapting between ST and UT. I don't think he's concluding that this state of affairs is simply being accepted by him and will remain that way so teams can all play unstructured and roll us over.

Surely he's just pointing out an emerging problem that he has to now deal with. You seem to present it as if he's saying that's all we can do and he's accepted that we're stuck with it!
