Just heard on the news that the Conservatives election campaign has been declared the worst campaign in history since Mullen stood for the trust but forgot to vote for himself

Just going by who knocked on my door and who I saw canvassing in Arnold over the past month Labour deserved the victory around here as they put a lot of effort into getting the vote, apart from the odd pamphlet pushed through the door the others did nothing, there was a 59% turnout at the polls,is this the average for an election?

Well done Labour, let’s see what the next four years bring

I didn’t forget, I didn’t vote for myself because I don’t believe you should. Same in a GE if you’re on the list you shouldn’t get a vote, not that it matters.

The problem with the conservatives is that their members voted Truss and although she might have been bad to some the MPs got their man - well It ended up a disaster for them.

I don’t think a candidate, family members should vote but I understand it’ll very hard to police.

Your job if elected is to serve those that vote for you, not get on as you have a big family.

Anyway as for the results not a surprise, I’ll look forward to higher taxes, higher immigration, no ambition and blokes abusing the system and saying they are women and going into women’s spaces.

One happy note is Farage getting in and the SNP being decimated.

The Tory campaign was intense and brutal, especially on Twitter, their problem was that nobody was listening. They would have done worse buy everyone knew that their game was up so many Labour voters didn’t bother voting.

I see down your way Michelle Welsh got in, beating Marks and Spencer into second place.
