Aye, 2 in one game though in such close succession. Pretty damn amazing.

    I am biased though.

Reminding me a bit of the Pardew 5th place season where we were often outplayed but kept winning. Long may it continue.
That is s game we would’ve lost or, at best, drawn last season.

Didn’t enjoy the match at all but the goals made up for it.

So much better in the second half we were a proper threat and 2 fantastic goals to win it,Huge relief though.

One way of looking at it… but also nothing encouraging that suggests when the luck runs out that there’s much else to rely on.

Barnes’ was better than Duran’s. Barnes beat a man before shooting - Duran’s was a sweet strike. If Gordon’s off the post had gone in it would’ve topped the lot.

Bit like when we relied on moments of rare brilliance from ASM under Bruce too

Agree about Gordon’s, but still think Duran’s was the better between that and Barnes.

Barnes was a cracking goal, but think swerving it in the near post is harder to do, from further out too… but we all see them different and 2 cracking strikes of the ball.

The flip side of that is that we know a lot of those players can play better and that as a team this lot can put on a good show - we have seen it before. We are also bedding Tonali in and I think when he is fully integrated in the match starting team we can step it up. So yes, we have been somewhat flat so far but we also have prior evidence that shows we can be a lot better, especially come January and we get Botman back and hopefully a decent January window signing

Man, we wouldn't have been unbeaten under Bruce after 4 games. Gotta be more to it than blind Brucie luck which couldn't be and was never sustained.
