Few of us would be any different in their position
    Correct.

Players will go generally where they get the best wage and contract more so at this level.

Hey Smiffy, can I take you up on that 50% chance of promotion?
    I'm getting quite excited now.

The guy is genuine and full of enthusiasm and he is saying the right things, can't knock him for that.

You can if you've made your mind up about him no matter what he says or achieves

Nice to get some positive news on DC.

I would be astounded if any Mansfield tranfer rumours were true, for one their a small club with limited resources and very few options to encourage further investors. Secondly they are new to L1 and are basically just finding their feet in that division and will probably finish in the lower half of the league. And third on average gates under 8,000 and a squad of 27 players plus a management team that probably demands a higher than average salary i think their budget is close to maximum if not over.
More likely a move to Birmingham , Bolton or Huddersfield if he was to move on.

For as long as Radford is in charge and engaged in the project, they'll continue to punch above their weight in terms of budget. For as long as Clough sticks around (or is allowed to), they'll be a tough team to beat. But yeah, I agree with your point - they're about at their ceiling in terms of what they can realistically achieve. Crowley can do better.

I have no idea about any rumours and how close they are to reality.
What I always find astounding is how dismissive fans are of other clubs. Take the few latest posts about Mansfield. The reality is that whether we like it or not, IF DC moved to Mansfield, as it stands it is an upgrade on us. It?s not the club he?d be at but rather the standard of player he trains with and competes against. The whole notion of average attendances impacting where a club is in the league ladder has been blown out of the water with clubs like Luton, Bournemouth and I?m sure there are others who have excelled despite low attendances.
I believe Notts as a club a gearing up for a tilt at progressing to the Championship. I know a few on here can?t see it yet, but the investment away from the squad is creating or will create that opportunity to invest more in the squad whilst not breaking the bank and putting Notts at risk of future financial problems.
