I am not saying he's a bad player and he did lots wrong, but he's a forward and I saw little of him getting on the end of balls (or being that well positioned for them) or taking the ball into dangerous areas. One header and one strike, in 15 mins with fresh legs. I thought Cisse by contrast actually made a notable difference when he came on.

Ref was so soft and inconsistent. Feels like they just fouled for the fun of it knowing he'd let them get away with 50% of it. Finally started showing cards at the 70' mark.

They came with a plan to get a point and it worked. Usual result, no goal scored. We lack penetration and a different plan to get anything from that. Boring to watch 90% of the time.

Just back, how we didn?t win I will never know. Thought 40 mins onwards we were very decent, 2 strikers on the pitch both with undoubtedly quality but feels like we?re missing the magic needed from Jones or Crowley to score or create an absolute clear cut chance.
I?m not worried about the rest of the season as we certainly have the foundations of a very good squad but we?re desperate to get them 2 back and to get a wingback and striker in if it?s not going to work with Scott.

Who was it at the back post when the ball bounced just ahead of him but couldn't react quick enough to direct it in?

Attacking play is too predictable. Very rarely break with pace & if we do it's not whizz it into the box; it's check back see who I can pass it to. Momentum lost along with the ball or it makes it's way back to the defenders.

2 points from 9 in November.

3 really tough games and 3 we need to win next month.

If we can pull something out of the bag against Walsall to make up for the points dropped today that would be ideal. Can't see it mind.

    Walsall (A)
    Colchester (H)
    Salford (A)
    Bradford (H)
    MK Dons (A)
    Cheltenham (A)
