Just go ahead and help. Actually do something to help him. Like volunteering to run an Open Day with the first team players in attendance.

I will never help John Nelms until I receive an official apology from him that the lies he stated in his letter to the Dee4life board of directors on 7th December 2022 about the visit my wife and I had to the Club?s Gardyne offices on 7th October 2022 which were a figment of his imagination and totally wrong.

If you think John Nelms is so wonderful then you should organise an Open Day with the first team players in attendance.

Me too. The format looks dodgy.

In my opinion the new Dee4life website is very poor and I have previously sent an email complaining about it.
    Everything is hidden from view.
Last night I happened to notice five stars at the bottom right hand side of the website.
If you click on each one there is information with sadly some of it out of date.
The list of the current Dee4life directors shown on their website shows Norrie Price who resigned in June 2024 and Ross Day who did not stand for re election at the Dee4life AGM which was originally due to be held on Saturday 23rd November 2024.
When a Dee4life Director resigned his name, photograph and biography was immediately removed from the previous Dee4life website.
When I volunteered to become a Co-opted Dee4life Director in September 2020 I was immediately asked to provide a photograph of myself plus a short biography about myself which was promptly published in the Directors section of the Dee4life website.

Yesterday I heard that a former Dee4life Chairman who was chairman back in 2014 was present at the Dee4life AGM on 1st February 2025 and he told the members present that as far back as 2014 John Nelms would have nothing to do with Dee4life.
    This begs the question.
Did John Nelms have any influence in the DSA leaving Dee4life in August 2014 and setting up on their own.
This move made it easy for Nelms to have influence over the DSA by giving them preferential access for tickets for away games plus allowing first team players and Dundee FC staff to attend the DSA?s main fund raising event their annual Player of the Year dinner.
If the DSA committee members did not toe the line then Nelms could withdraw these privileges.
I heard that Nelms was threatening to ban all the Dundee FC first team players from attending the DSA Player of the Year dinner at the end of the 2018-19 relegation season due to all the complaints about the poor performance of the team plus the disastrous appointment of Jim McIntyre as the manager.
In the event Nelms relented but every DSA affiliated supporters club was warned that any of their members attending the DSA Player of the Year dinner must not attempt to speak to John Nelms otherwise they will be ejected from the dinner.
Throughout the dinner Nelms sat beside his minder Kenny Ross who was Chairman of the DSA at that time.

Kenny Ross and John Nelms 100% colluded to ensure DSA, and Kenny Ross in particular, received a privileged position whilst Nelms could ostracise the rest of DFCSS. Nelms has never forgiven the DFCSS BoD for trying to block his take over of the club despite the fact the ones responsible for that attempted block were mostly ousted immediately after it.

I sat in a meeting with Kenny Ross and John Nelms once where Ross had clearly been briefed on exactly what to say and what not to say by Nelms. I have a word for people like Kenny Ross who wriggle through the grass to gain personal privileges but I won't use it here.

Can we find a role for Dee4Life that helps our club and doesn't cause trouble for DSA and John Nelms. I can see the difficulties of the past, but can't we move on and do something new, or revive something from the past that helped our club?

    Nelms sees it as his.

I'm just a customer to him, I see myself as a supporter of the team rather than club whilst he is at the helm.

D4L had a role.....a pressure group....they gave that up to be poodles.....and not even the favourite poodle.

It wasn’t even John Nelms takeover of the club as it was Tim Keyes who was providing the majority of the funds to purchase a majority shareholding in Dundee Football Club Limited.
It is a great pity than Tim Keyes did not listen to Bill Colvin’s concerns about the running of Dundee Football Club but instead chose to back John Nelms as Chief Executive.
In my opinion that decision has cost Tim Keyes a lot of money including paying off the Two Brian’s plus the cost getting the drainage problems with the Dens Park pitch properly repaired plus fines and The Rangers hotel bill because of Nelms’s penny pinching attitude to spend as little as possible on the maintenance of Dens Park because Dundee FC were moving to his fantasy new stadium at the beginning of the 2025-26 SPFL season.
