I hope JG is not considering Paton for another season

Paton seems a nice guy from his DUTV but he just has not delivered at all. His shots are really weak and often just trundle to the keeper

Jort VDS is under contract next year and I think he is a better option - as well as Moult being better before the end of the season

Its not often, its pretty much every single shot on goal from a good position (the last 5 I can think off) that he has weakly passed it to the keeper. JG even acknowledged that Celtic's 2nd goal came after a weak shot on goal at the other end. The January signings have been disastrous. There is a reason why many of these players are not getting games at lower league teams in England. Dalby is a bit of an outlier in this. We were lucky in striking gold with this one.

I think the guy their analytics picked Neil Crotchley sounded quite exotic mate.I did question that appointment at the time but i'm not a patch on they young laptop superstars Hearts are using.
