If you think getting pumped off Rangers was bad. I had to endure a Bryan Adams concert tonight.

Jensen should be playing ahead of Devlin every week if he is fit.

Keskinen just sums up our season, looks good in some games then is poor in others, his decision making must improve next season.

Thelins not under any pressure this season but he will be next season if we are as inconsistent as we have been in his first year.
Today was a tough watch, no hunger , no desire, they came out the second half wanting to win and a very poor team ripped us apart. We are simply not good enough and today was a very honest reality check for us. Let?s not be delusional anymore, Thelin is making very poor decisions tactically and selection, that is costing us.
Passing was woeful, no more than 2 put together.
The defense looked an absolute shambles and had no clue at all.
Dante was terrible he would have been better being sent off early doors, that?s how bad he was, Devlin looks half the player he was. Tobers looked so uncomfortable and why he gave that foul away to get the booking was just idiotic.
Kiskinen has no football brain and constantly makes the wrong decisions. Impact sub at best going forward.
Okkels not any where near good enough, a consistent under performer.
Most disappointing thing today was the lack of quality for the most basic fundamentals, ball control, passing and movement, very amateur and below the level required.
Not to sure what to expect next season now, but the next 10 days could be disastrously embarrassing.

    I agree about Tobers.
I don't know enough about the lad though, but along with Jensen and Topi, they have been signed and thrown in at the deep end.

Really don't think we'll see the best of them until next season.

I'd also like to see Milne get more chances. I thought he might have started over Tobers today.
Tobers starting was strange after two months out.

The lack of a plan b from Thelin is what I find most worrying.
I buy into what he is doing, but he needs to change/tweak, some things in his system for the Scottish game, as it clearly isn't working, especially when playing away.

I just want the cup final now and get the league to f*ck.

As I have said before, I think Europe will kill us next season, but gladly take it through winning the cup.

We cant keep sacking managers every year because they dont live up to your expectations, Thelin will be under more pressure from fans next season but unless we are struggling at the bottom of the league Cormack wont get rid of him, he spent too long trying to get him here.

To answer your question yes I would give Thelin a few years to try to build a team like he did at Elfsborg, I cant guarantee it will work but what I can guarantee is that you will be wanting the next manager sacked 6 months after he walks in the door so for that point alone its a waste of time getting rid of Thelin anytime soon.
You are probably correct in saying I will want the next manager sacked within 6 months of taking the job but that doesn?t mean The Turnip should get a free run at the shambles he is creating.

Milne, Cormack, The Motherwell DJ and The Head Butler are still making the key decisions?.not a footballer between them and those 4 pull all the strings regardless of how often they fail us.

Waiting for The Turnip was a farce and he was second choice to Barry Robson previously so i didn?t hold out much hope for him (which again was proved correct).

Who was the guy who chucked it to go back to Sweden (that came with the new coaching team)? He must have had something about him because it?s all went downhill from when he left.

Jimmy Turnip is way out his depth ? no point wasting good money on more dross he will have lined up. A record transfer fee for Okkels says it all. The man cannot be trusted to deliver anything.

    Panic! ... Panic! .... Panic! .....

Fk sake guys ..... we have a squad of relatively young guys with potential to grow/develop. We'll get/do better ...consistently from here onwards.

Yesterday we canna change ... but tomorrow?

Disagree? Fair enough, but but how about ye stop draggin us down? Go cheer on Cove or the likes ......

Well gubbed yesterday, but it's now today .... Ah'll say the same on Thurs whether we win/lose/draw v the VicTims .......

Take stock. Last season we were 'bottom six' ... this season we are top six .... and Sc cup finalists.

Whatever .... we are a team set up to grow up... Worst case scenario? We'll do OK .

So we just bury our heads in the sand and accept defeats (which have been very high this season).
We all want them to win so don?t need the nonsense about cheering on Cove etc?as that is poor from a fellow Dons fan.
Forums are about individual takes on how posters see how things are going etc.
Nobody is going to kid me on that everything is getting better when the evidence suggests it certainly is not.
We might have made the so called top six but for a club the size of Aberdeen and the money we spent this season that should be the very minimum.
Getting a hiding from a terrible Rangers team isn?t and will never be acceptable in my book.

I will be easily pleased though when I see an Aberdeen team again who try and represent Aberdeen FC with a bit soul and passion.
We cannot keep accepting what we see. Change is always necessary when we are littered with failings. It might not always be popular but you can?t fix up an old car with parts that are no longer available?what you can do is rebuild something similar as possible with newer available parts and see if you get a near similar experience.
My point being we will never get the Alex Ferguson Aberdeen team again but we must try and do our best to give it a shot of creating a team who have a lot of similarities.
Not an easy task but it?s a challenge we must uptake

Sorry neeps, I usually enjoy yer posts min, even if I need google translate half the time, but yer way off the mark here IMO.

Nobodys panicking, the usual attention seeker is doing his usual thing, but everyone else is just calling out a completely unacceptable performance.

Ive praised them plenty this year, as have most on here. Ive criticised them plenty too when deserved as have most, and yesterday it was 100% deserved.

Everyone gets beat. Aberdeen FC especially get beat a lot. Nature of the beast. Its how you get beat that matters though.

Yesterday every single one of them quit on their stool and just gave up. Chucked it. Threw in the towel. Shat the bed. Call it what you want.

That is never, and will always be never ever remotely acceptable.

As Mason said attitude, fitness, effort should just be a given with any player regardless of ability. With this lot its not far too often (and its been like that for many years now too). Until that fundamentally changes, we are going nowhere.

The goals we?ve conceded this year have been appalling. The Hibs equaliser at Easter Rd was the worst Ive ever seen. It couldve been stopped about 10 times before it went in. The one from the throw in at Tannadump, the long balls over the top that Motherwell & St. Mirren scored, the ones yesterday, we dont half make things hard for ourselves.

It?s great that Jimmy has a plan of how to play the game but until we get the players that can actually do it, we are going to get pumped. Even if we just stopped trying to play it out from the back every single time & made an effort to mark people at set pieces, wed solve a lot of problems. We beat ourselves most weeks.

It?s a race now between Jimmy sorting it and the fans patience. I think his inability to change will see him out the door before the end of next season, which is a shame

The flip side to that is that on the rare occasions the plan does actually work, it?s still pretty dull ineffective football

I think one of the biggest problems we have is that we have assembled a squad of inconsistent players over the years.

Most of the players we have are good on their day but those days are few and far between.

The commentator on Sky sports said at the beginning of the game that Jamie McGrath got 6 assists in his first 8 games this season and none in his last 14 games, cant see a lot of fans bothered about him going to Hibs.

Leighton Clarkson clearly has talent and ability but he doesnt show it often enough, he has looked good since Thelin started playing him deeper in midfield but has gone missing again in the last few games, the 4 managers he has had in his time with us havent been able to get a tune out of him so I dont have much confidence that the 5th manager will be able to either.

Maybe thats why these guys are here and thats the type of player we can afford, players who have plenty of ability but dont show it often enough.
