This is where I am now - just fed up with it. Can't even be bothered to be bothered. We are just a team going through the motions now, limping to the end of the season and yet another clear out and rebuild.

And that Keresztes interview was utterly embarrassing. Unbelievable talent in the squad he reckons, dearie f*cking me what an insult to fans intelligence.

Could be a dig at Manager not playing to strengths both players and formation

We’d started the season decently enough but to come out of those two matches with only one point against what we now know are statistically the two worst teams in the league sowed a seed that frankly I don’t think we’ve recovered from. It’s hard to put a finger on it precisely. Is it recruiting? Is it coaching? Is it tactics? Is it training? Is it all of the above? Bottom line is that there is one common denominator in the lot and I’m sorry to say that it’s the manager.
The rolling contract deal we signed up with him could work in our favour in so much that I think a parting of the ways would be best all round come the end of the season. Obviously we have to hope that he can get enough of a tune out of them to at least keep us out of 11th which despite everything should really be straightforwardly achievable despite everything.

I think where Goodwin has faltered is that he failed to sign experienced pros that could handle the jitters that have appeared. He needed to sign a 30+ centre-half a 30+ midfielder and a 30+ striker. He also has stuck rigidly to this 3 centre-halves pish leaving us out numbered in the middle of the park. This inverted wingers is sh!te an all. Swap them about.

However Dolcek can make things happen, I couldn't care less if he does bugger all defensively. I want him laying on through balls like against Spartans, freekick against Hearts and taking dangerous corners. See when we are defending a corner why not have him, and two others spread out on the halfway line? Takes the opposition players away from the congested box.

United identity is long throws and whip in crosses from outside the 18 yard line. No playing through midfield as we are out numbered. I hope we don't have wingbacks next season. I'd rather have fullbacks with a winger in front of one of them and a wide right or left midfielder on the other.

We have a good squad which is being held back by an arrogant manager. I'd love it if he just did a Houston and took the phuckin shackles off. A flat back 4 is the first thing I'm wanting to see.

The way I look at United just now is, Goodwin is lost. Jackie was lost when the Tim Two left. What followed was relegation when Jackie and Thompson thought they could get all these youngsters and make money. All coming back to experience pros again missing and trying to make a quick buck in the player trading model.

Then again there’s a part of me that despite all available evidence, somehow feels that the (unt is going to win us the Scottish Cup this season…………………..
Well it would fit given 94,10 and possibly 26. Hopefully Falkirk used up their goals in the thrashing of Killie yesterday.

You live in a bubble where everything is fine so long as our crowds are higher than the dees and that they are more shyte than us. That's not a good enough yardstick for the rest of us even if it floats your boat OK?

I'll say what what I want and that's what I'm seeing from many fans, Dom and gloom spoiled child behaviour

He's not a great manager but he's going good enough over his time and has enough credit in the bank

I've been consistent all season that unless we are in real danger of going down (we aren't,) then consolidation as a top flight club is fine in our second season up, it's not that difficult

I'm not one of the reactionary types, like yourself who has meltdowns during games and after, that's fair enough

The best thing for United though is not to change manager just now it's clear we need stability over a few years, it all won't be rosy but it would be silly to go down that route just now after a 4th place finish and currently 7th place position

    We aren't getting relegated btw

You cannot compare to before as we didn't have consistency of manager as unfortunately Courts left after a good first season and our 3rd season back last time became a sh1tshow with three managers and releghitti in goal

Right now it's nothing like that and we will be a top flight club again next year and can go again, hopefully without as many new signings

Goodwin done the job that was required, but this club should not be happy with mediocre, nor only winning 6 games all season and only 3 victories at home, That is not acceptable. He assembled a squad that was suppose to be exciting, fast, direct and physical from what I have seen any many other United fans is the complete f@£king opposite. The squad look completely lost, no identity, players looks shot of confidence and frankly don’t look like they want to be here. Absolutely it’s time for change everything has a sell by date. Thank you Goodwin for completing your objective that was set out, now it’s time to move this club forward.

Again just your opinion and mine is while it's been disappointing it's simple minded (which you come across as given that other thread your started and the way you replied to me to begin), it's knee jerk, it's short term thinking

It's just typical of footy fans these days to not be able to handle a bit of short term meh, if we were offered this when relegated we would have taken it but when it comes to going through an inevitable average season, fans (plenty of ours) can't hack it these days and go onto quick fix need to change mindset, almost like not enough drama going on let's tear it up start again, basically the opposite of what the club needs I'll keep repeating as it's fact

Mid table boring this season of all seasons isn't great or we hoped for, there were promising signs early, we have some quality individuals in areas of the park, Fatah is a cracking player with good talent etc, Dolcek looked brilliant early doors, Sapsford was great at times but keeper caused problems then other individuals and injuries etc and the manager (he should have made subs end of Killie game a recent example)

We are still good enough to have a positive end to the season and win some games

United were never going to get promoted and become a top six fixture season on season due to the last decade where other clubs have had been mainstays and grown, I see that we've done very well on our return these two years overall and have to go through a period where it might be one good year one average (think Moyes at Everton b first time around), but there aren't any disasters looming currently if we stick with it and get behind the club just now

There is no guarantee changing manager will be anything other than hugely risky and put us back into a costly instability period, right now safe pair of hands is what we have, whether you like him or not

We had a spell under Tommy McLean with fun counter attacking football and good defence

We were fun to watch at times under Levein but were eye bleeding and effective in a lot of games too

Houston we were a good watch a lot of the time and then the few months under McNamara

During those periods we were good enough to hem teams in and keep them under pressure for sustained periods as we had better squads than most of the opponents

That's what we need to try to get to, especially at home, we do it in patches but not enough and have been more threatening on the road this season

Other than that it's just games here and there, no different to most clubs in the league if you read their forums or comments
