I don't think anyone is slagging off doctors or nurses, criticising the management or the structure of the NHS is different.

I only want the NHS to be reformed so we can bring cancer outcomes up to the level of other European countries and save lives.

But compared to PHE the NHS management have done relatively well, apparently they have 242 staff there on six-figure salaries, what do they do for those salaries?

So I take it that K is now saying that he did believe that the junior doctors DESERVED a pay rise and better working conditions?
Strange that I don't recall him ever mentioning it at the time.... or was he just being neutral(?), although it seems odd that he didn't join in the debate, as he usually has strong opinions on just about everything , unless it was posted under another name, or something. Very unusual.

Several other posters on here definitely said that the junior doctors did not deserve a pay rise or better working conditions, so shouldn't be going on strike . You can go back and check, if it is still possible to do so. You won't be surprised by which names pop up - same ones who always say nobody deserves a pay rise (except themselves)

I dunno about you Kerr, and I don't know how things work in your line of business, but there would be certain. people I would not attempt to defend, real right wing nutters being one of them if only for my own safety.

Stick with the old ladies tripping over paving stones...
Everybody is entitled to a defence, Roly. It's an equality thing. There are members of my profession who don't seem to get that principle, generally in the context of 'consent' rapes- often people of the caring sharing Left, strangely enough.

I agree. Food chain taking a big hit here in the US as a plant which processes 50% of all pork in the country has had to close due to the virus. Some supermarkets are also being forced to close and must admit me and Mrs CA are getting pretty low on proteins as there has been no eggs or unprocessed meat in our local store for the last 3 weeks.

I've prosecuted and defended real right wing nutters and if you think that anyone on here falls into that category then you have a remarkably blinkered and cosseted view of the world.

I'm worried about you, Mikey. You appear to be losing your ****.
Not averse to using such descriptions are you Kerr, you know those who don't share your views on politics, you know ,the loony left
People in glass houses & all that

I have no view upon junior doctor pay rates, because it is something of which I have no knowledge, Mikey. I would imagine that would be the position for the majority of posters.

That is a very strange thing to say, especially from somebody supposedly from a legal background. By the way, can't remember you saying that you had represented anybody before - what you actually did was kept deliberately vague for a long time - you could have been emptying the courtroom bins for all we know. New job , is it? Be interesting for Millersmadsters to know what qualifications you needed , as they might fancy doing that themselves, how long you have to train, etc. (No Googling!)

Dunno how you can defend the indefensible tho Kerr. I couldn't do it. You must have a gut feeling about who you are defending if you have practised for a few years. If in doubt steer clear. Surely we you wouldn't want to defend me if you suspected I had murdered a family for purely racist reasons. If you did get me off it would mean I may very well do it again or encourage others to do it. Wouldn't that mean you were partly responsible , in effect, for any subsequent racist crimes I carried out?

Are you drunk, Mikey? It was a statement of fact.
