I suspect the rationale is that once the flights start, the need to deport will rapidly recede as UK will not be seen as a great place to head for any longer. So maybe shipping 300 out would result in 30000 less attempted entries. Those maths work better for those trying to staunch the bleed.

Exactly, which is why "push back" is an even cheaper option. Ride the howls and screams and it would be over inside a month.
Only way to break the model, is make it totally off limits.

Still doesn't change the fact, that the Fail is a Tory paper and would naturally attack a Tory problem.
Dude. I saw something amusing. I posted it. Whether I like Farridge and his policies or not, him bearing a physical resemblance to Parker is amusing. Just the same as Sunak's likeness to Roland Rat. I'm quite sure there's a comical Starmer lookalike out there somewhere. If I see it and it amuses me, I'll post it. If someone else finds one and posts it and it's amusing I'll show my appreciation.

Ammunition? You seeing it that way says a lot. You appear to look for conflict. There was no ulterior motive other than raising a smile in my post. Should I have used an emoji so you might understand that? Take a chill pill and relax.

Funny looking at this, had Reform not come along, to give some of us the chance to vent our fury at the Tories, the gap would have been a lot less than it is.

For all the **** ups and lack of action, the Tories would be thinking they had done quite well.

You've got to admire Sunak though, the buildings burning, you're now standing on the chimney stack. Yet the chance of heavy rain is still there.

Sunak insists result tomorrow 'not a foregone conclusion'
Rishi Sunak has insisted a Labour victory at the ballot box tomorrow is "not a foregone conclusion" despite various polls pointing to Tory wipeout.

Speaking on ITV's This Morning programme, the Prime Minister said despite a “very long day yesterday” on the campaign trail he is "feeling good".

The Prime Minister said voters face an “important choice” as they head to polling stations across the country and he continues to fight “for every vote”

He's highly unlikely to say "we're going to get mullered", now, is he? Although one of his ministers did, yesterday. IMO, that wasn't a blunder or someone being out of step. I think it was a planned move in an attempt to scare people into voting Tory to stop a Labour landslide. Basically, a move of desperation by the Blue Tories.

Voted, but it won't do any good here unfortunately. However, looking forward to the Tories getting two black eyes, losing all their teeth and limping off into the abyss.

I do believe the boxer to which he refers is his dog. Confusion possibly due to the missing apostrophe
