Dunno how you can defend the indefensible tho Kerr. I couldn't do it. You must have a gut feeling about who you are defending if you have practised for a few years. If in doubt steer clear. Surely we you wouldn't want to defend me if you suspected I had murdered a family for purely racist reasons. If you did get me off it would mean I may very well do it again or encourage others to do it. Wouldn't that mean you were partly responsible , in effect,for any subsequent racist crimes I carried out?

So do you think that the Guildford Four or Birmingham Six should not have been able to get representation due the abhorrent nature of the offences they were charged with? Or Stefan Kiszko or Sally Clark?

I can't agree with that.

You do your best for your client. It's a court that determines guilt or innocence. Are you saying that a jury bear responsibility if they clear a person and he or she goes on to offend?

Mikey, you appear to have started a random sub-thread about junior doctors. It is really quite bizarre. I can't recall the dispute that you are talking about or the thread that apparently appeared on here. I know nothing about the pay or conditions of junior doctors and so am not going to comment upon them.

So you are saying now that you wouldn't defend a known racist, but you would somebody accused of racism? There is obviously an important difference, which anybody who really was a lawyer would have made clear to begin with. You are just tying yourself in knots - bluffing will only get you so far.

Getting back on topic re coronavirus... just heard a warning on the radio that there are a lot of characters out there offering bogus advice on medical and other matters. If you come across a bogus doctor, or similar professional giving "advice", you should report that to report that to the police. Stay safe.
