It’s a strange one with Duk.
I’m a fan, in fact I was arguing in his favour at the beginning of last season when loads of folk were going on about him being overweight, unfit etc.

He always looked like a crowd pleaser to me and it certainly didn’t take folk long to agree.

Now I’m probably wrong here but I just wonder if the opposition have worked him out.
If I’m right ( and I hope I’m not) thgen perhaps we should take some money for him now.

I think you have a good point that teams are more aware and doubling up on him. But he still gets past them half the time. There should be space elsewhere and we need to move ball quicker to take advantage of that. Feel a bit sorry for Miovski as Duk gets all the adulation

If we get the right money then that’s what it’s all about.
I’m kind of hoping that we are going with 4 strikers but if we aren’t then I don’t necessarily think it’s Duk that will be going I’ve heard it might be Miovski.

I think McGrath might be a decent signing he’s a lot better than some are saying so I will give him a chance.

I would have liked Scales to come back but if Celtic are wanting £1 million for him then it’s not worth it.Don’t know much about Jensen but he’s an international player and has played at a decent level.

Cormack realises that we have to speculate to accumulate - surprisingly, Milne didn’t. That has to be our business model if we are to avoid falling further behind the cheeks. We will never catch them unless things (including the “system”) change drastically. Signing players for £200K to £750 K has worked for us recently, overall - onwards! COYR - give Cormack some credit here for sanctioning the recent deals.

Definitely praise for Cormack to put funds in to get better quality player and getting cash back in to the club- would be good if we could retain some of the better ones for more than a year. Out of the signings made last year the 3 that were most intriguing were Miovski, Duk and Ramadani (Clarkson being a loan less so for me ) far better than the 2nd division journeymen from down south. To lose 2 of those 3 after a year would be a shame- especially if their replacements are not taking us forward closer to the ugly sisters

I think it’s more to do with what you said about the start of last season when he looked overweight and unfit.

He’s came back this season and is overweight and unfit, probably be one of those guys who will be really fat when he retires.

Once he has a played a few more games this season he will be back to his best.

I said the very same thing to my son a couple of days ago as regards weight gain post-retiral!

If opposition doubles up on Duk it leaves more room for Miovski & Co. So we can take advantage of that surely ?

Mind that run Duk took from the halfway line into the box while he was injured and running on one leg ? Two markers , nae bother !!!

But I think you're all correct. Loooksliike he's a slow burner at start of season. Although he was off on International duty and came back late. So maybe it's just that .

I'd Reckon we want to hang on to him , no matter what offers come in , till we've at least played out our euro league games. Also give any further forward s brought in time settle in too.

Tell you what , if we do sign the boys from Belgium , Slovakia & Finland , we'll not be short of a really strong squad. Now just give Vinnie half a game some time and let's see if he"LL stepp up too ?

Richard Jensen confirmed by the club. Sounds like a good signing, being an internationalist and filling a position we need filled.

At that though, I can't help but feel sorry for Liam Scales. A chance to play regularly for a first team but likely resigned to reserve football for the next year. Pleased though that we don't have another loan from one of our rivals. (that should be banned)
