    Wasn't sure where to post this and didn't think it was worth it's own thread.

    I've been looking at NL midfielders and trying to compare them to Matty Palmer. One thing that really stood out was Palmers work rate and how much ground he covers. Here is his heat map for this season, league games only, no other central midfielder in the league comes anywhere close to this, its just crazy . . .

    The two most damning stats there for me are aerial duels won (62% v 33% in their favour) and shots on target (only 1 out of 12 for us; 8 out of 12 for them). Looks like Torquay identified a weakness - Chicksen’s lack of height at centre half - and exploited it mercilessly.

    Stats now up for yesterdays win over Dover. I try to explain a bit more about the stats, why Notts may have looked like there was a lack of intensity but the stats suggest otherwise and I try to draw a line between emotional bias and analytical objectivity …
