Oops, more carelessness...lost another minister. Jenrick gone over Rwanda. Sunak next?
WTF are they playing at? The whole Rwanda Policy is a £140 million dead cat in any case. They might be able to deport 200, out of the 30,000 arriving, mean while they jack up the wage limit for legal immigrants and If it actually happens which is probably won't, deprive the NHS of Dr's and University's and research centres of scientists. I mean you couldn't make up this complete and utter **** show that's happening.
I read one senior MP says Sunak won't win the election, I've news for him, its the Tory party thats the problem, not Sunak, he's just the out of his depth fall guy.
We need an election now, not another useless ****ing Tory leader!!
They know the real solution. Reopen the overseas offices they shut that dealt with asylum claims in the past. Open some new ones too. Photos, fingerprints and DNA. Any failed seekers who arrive by small boat can be repatriated whence they originated. Humane, sensible, legal.
So £140 million wasted on Rwanda, £100 million (so far) said to have been spent on the Covid enquiry...is it any wonder there’s no money for schools, the NHS and the police?
Please...never ever let me hear again of the Tories being the party of law and order and fiscal responsibility.
The Covid Inquiry wasn't requested by HMG and there would almost certainly have been one even if HMG's actions had been more successful. HMG's only involvement is to agree to hold such an inquiry, and I can picture the massive outcry (prob from yourself!) if no such inquiry ha been agreed to. The setting up of the inquiry including its approach and team are then actioned independantly of HMG under an act of parliament I can't recall. If you aren't happy with the amount spent, lobby your local MP and good luck, but this one isn't down to HMG
Regarding Rwanda being a 'waste'. I'd describe the money as 'so far invested' until its proved to be a failure. It may well be, but you intimated the same about Paul Warne and we are now 5 wins out of 6
Bit out of order that, young Andrew, on the basis that a) you intimated exactly the same thing, and b) you invariably tell me off for confusing football and political threads.
At the moment I think Rwanda has probably had more visits from Foreign Secretaries than it has from any migrants/refugees. If you think it’s a good idea that’s your opinion. Mine is that it’s another in the long list of Government white elephants and the product of stubbornly callous minds entirely devoid of compassion and common sense.
As regards the Covid inquiry...I’ve never questioned the need for such an inquiry however all I’ve seen so far is an extraordinary amount of public money being spent on seeing apparently unaccountable politicians (many already disgraced) squirm and criticise each other. There must be a better way.
Be interesting to know what is happening in other countries as regards investigation and cost. I genuinely don’t know.

I think that is the case with the majority of current Government politicians...‘immigrant stock’, as you put it, or not. The UK would, imo, be a much better place if Johnson, Hancock, Patel, Braverman, Williamson, Jenrick and Co. all sodded off to Rwanda and never came back.
Rawanda is a dead cat to distract from the chaos! Its limited in numbers less than 300, so will hardly dent the figures in the unlikely event it does happen, but in fact, it won't, unless the Tories go full fascist and ignore international law and the ECHR, this new legislation is utterly pointless - any such deportation will be subject to legal challenge.
The notion that a government should be free of the rule of law, is completely contradictory to the way the unwritten constitution works, the courts and judges are independent of parliament and are there precisely to restrict any action which is unlawful.
Sunak is being disingenuous in claiming that this will either "stop the boats" or resolve the issue. Meanwhile 17,000 asylum seekers have just disappeared!!
There is an easy and simple way to stop the boats, but clearly this bunch of numpties think their catastrophic mishandling of immigration and asylum claims which is costing the tax payers millions is somehow worthwhile.
