LWs CV wasn?t amazing, assistant manager roles and a relegation when he was a manager.

I don?t mind us going for an unknown but the guy has to jump out at them as a total leader and decent coach and have plenty of research and references with it, which I think was the case with LW.

The issue SM had was he came from a part time club, was a full time BT engineer and looked like a rabbit in headlights sometimes in the interviews and it?s all about perception and therefore was on a hiding to nothing with a lot of fans early doors.

It?s now time it was sorted to allow who ever it is to get settled in the area and look at what we have in terms of squad and what?s needed ( of course in his opinion) as the rest of the management will decide who we need !! All this holiday crap is rubbish you can have internet meetings interviews doesn?t need to be face to face.

Didn?t Maynard leave 3 weeks ago? I imagine from cv sifting to interviews, to contract negotiations it takes longer to get a job literally anywhere than that.

My money is on Shaw. Seems like a Reedz appointment to me. Also he's from Nottingham and i think they will appreciate that.

Not the most exciting appointment, but it sounds like he has spent years earning his stripes so I'd get behind him. Everyone has to start somewhere and he has a good rep as a coach by all accounts.

People cant be asking for Maynard to go and be happy with this bloke (not saying that is you btw)

He would get zero time by our fanbase if he starts bad.

We really need someone with more knowhow & experience & i'd guess the owners may think that too.

No disrespect, but Shaw should be on paper something like our assistant manager. Local lad, learn the ropes under someone and then if they leave, get a chance then. I'd be slightly underwhelmed by him if he was appointed.

He's not talking rubbish at all. If the players are on holiday there is a thousand and one things the new bloke can do. He can spend every day reviewing every match from last season for a start.

Think you?re right with them saying announcing their new coaching team else it?s not a good look if they haven?t signed and there?s still no news say in a weeks time. I?m going to go for tomorrow, was confident it would be this week.

They are certainty experts in keeping it secret till they?re announced, no one has a clue, again.
