Their last season at The Vetch 2004/05, a promotion season from tier 4, they averaged 8,458, which was easily their best since their brief Toshack stint in the top tier in the 1980s. .
The following season at their new ground in tier 3.... 14,112. They had six successive 20k plus averages in the PL.

Not really sure what the guy is supposed to say he has been nothing but honest.

Swansea are a bigger club than us and are in a much better place than us right now.

If he fails he fails he will still get another job off the back of what he has done with us and will be financially compensated for it NOBODY is turning that down in a sport and he isn’t a NCFC fan just like our next coach is unlikely to be.

Nobody is turning that down in any form of life, footy or not. Although only here for 18 months, he's written his name into NCFC folklore for his achievements. Best wishes to the bloke.

What's with everyone's obsession with national league managers? Seriously, aim higher

Other than Paul Cook and Neal Ardley, I don't know any managers from non league football.

It matters not where they're coming from, but much more where they're going.

Luke Williams was a virtual unknown when he arrived. We've had plenty of 'experienced', 'high profile' managers fail us in the past. They had great careers behind them.

Neil Warnock came to us from the non-league full of desire to prove himself at the higher level. That didn't work out badly.

Swansea chased him, so it's not hard to see why he left. It was already an attractive job, so when they chatted to him for 3 hours to convince him to leave us i'm not surprised his head was turned.

Gutted that he’s gone but very glad he’s left on such good terms he’s been able to do a (very emotional) interview. Hard not to believe that he wouldn’t still be here if Jason was as well.

Having said that, our defensive performances this season have been poor, and I’m looking forward to getting someone in who’ll improve things. If we can do that and keep our attacking talent we’ll be in a good place.

I think you are the proof of the multiverse theory as your universe seems to have no relevance to everybody else's.

His stock was not falling, home performances were good and he would not have been worried about losing his job.

We have the highest goals against in the league, and are on course to concede over 80 goals. Our defence has been shocking all season, but nothing seems to have been done to sort it.
We have lost 5 of the last 6 away from home, and if it was not for our home form we would be very close to the bottom...Performances away from home have been awful , apart from the Stockport game. And like he said " Things in football move fast". I think he was the right fit for us last season, and did an amazing job in getting us back into the EFL, but you cant live in the past... It was time for him to move on..
