I think suggestions that Lewis Ferguson was one of the players involved are wrong. He's also tee-total.
Posters are putting Hayes, McGinn and Logan in their Saturday team; however, it hasn't been clarified that these players weren't there.
They would certainly have more reason to go out to celebrate Shinnie's birthday given that they were in the same team for a few years.
If we do just have Campbell as our sole centre midfielder
Would Mark Gallagher be ready to step up?
It’s been reported that there were Dons stars out on the Town on Saturday 1st August after that tepid display against R******. That’s clearly impossible, as recent performances would surely preclude that title being given to anyone in the team. Who on earth would go out to Soul bar or wherever after that debacle? A meal with a partner or whatever in a nice restaurant is fair enough but the risks of mingling at close quarters in pubs, especially with all the attention that “star” status brings is beyond stupid. I had lost interest before this but I think that’s it for me now as this is all quite pathetic to be frank and I really couldn’t care now about this sorry underachieving bunch that think they’re a team.
No-one knows if the players were "out on the town" on saturday, for all we know they may have been out for a meal at soul or another restaurant.
If thats the case then they have done nothing wrong IMO,No-one knew about this outbreak on Saturday so until we know the circumstances then its too early to presume they were out on the lash as some people are claiming
I think the issue is that they broke the rules set by the Scottish Government to allow SPFL to be back playing in a "sporting bubble" regardless of whether it was a quiet meal or a drinking session. Either way they are just a bunch of idiots and we as a club will deserve everything coming our way sadly.
