What am I allowed to do when social distancing?
You can see family and friends if it's essential
You can walk your dog
You can provide essential care for elderly relatives and neighbours if you have no symptoms
You can go to the shops to buy food and groceries
You can exercise at a safe distance from others
Can I go out for a walk?
Even though people are being urged to stay home, Mr Hancock says "it is important that people get exercise".
However, they should still keep 2m away from others.
Nick Hancock went on to say about the importance of exercise.
The key is to keep 2 ms away from others This is very easy to do in my experience as long as you don't go to crowded places. (In some countries they say the distance is 1.5m by the way).
There are plenty of places to walk in s yorks where you will hardly see a soul and even if you do you can detour the 2ms around them. My advice to people is to get an ordnance survey map out and pick some remote places to walk. That would not include well known touristy sites. I have done enough walking over the years to know where they are.
I went on a 1.5 m local walk with my dog today by the way and the nearest I came to meeting anybody was about 25ms. Even if you meet people on pavements you can cross the road or detour if need be. its not rocket science.
You can't keep healthy people penned between 4 walls for months on end or you will have issues about physical and mental health.
