Personally, I'd rather it didn't come to that and we go up, but if we don't I suppose it would provide one tiny crumb of consolation.
Seeing laddo actually type the words "We need to get rid of Ardley" could only be summed up by pinching some of his favourite phrases - 'A moment to cherish', 'A thing of great beauty' and 'Classic NCM'!
Not at all Laddo, i think managers should get more than one season if they have shown any sign of promise, but to be fair Ardley was poor from the start, as i have said many times, one win from his first 12,the writing was on the wall and relegated at swindon. In my eyes he deserves to be sacked on that basis alone.
I think if we had backed nearly any other manager, we would have at least remained in League 2
Not only that Ardley is a one trick pony, his negative and defensive tactics have continued for over 2 years with little success
I understand that we have sacked to many average to good managers, but to stick with the worst one because of this makes no sense. I am absolutely convinced we would be no worse of , if we had appointed a new manager, we might have stayed in League 2, we might have gone up last year etc , so its wasted 2 years even if he is successful
This might surprise you i really want Ardley to succeed , because that would lead to Notts being promoted, still at least if he fails i will have the satisfaction, that i called it right after his first 12 games.
"We might have stayed up" two seasons ago.
"We might have gone up last season".
Might being the key word here.
That of course could be true on each occasion but we will never know and the too frequently changing of managers is the thing that got us in trouble two seasons ago as you are fully aware. Before Ardley we wasted way more than two seasons chopping and changing managers and falling ever further behind our competitors and wasted a no doubt scary amount of money.
History shows us that changing manager too often simply doesn't work for us. If sticking with a manager doesn't work with the current one sobeit. Giving time certainly doesn't guarantee success obviously. However you look at the list of Notts past managers and ask how many on there before Ardley was given too much in charge?
Like I said backing a Notts manager to not get us promoted is a very safe bet, the odds would be poor each and every time.
We should all want Ardley to succeed, whether people think he can/will is a totally different thing. Sadly clearly not everyone does. #noagenda gets in the way of #NCFC

I think you've missed the point of the question durham, the average tenure of a football league manager across the top 4 division in England.
A quick internet search shows that for the season 2014/15 it was 1.23 years.
Notts average since the millennium will probably be half that of not even less. Therein lies the issue (well one of the big issues at Meadow Lane since 2000). It just doesn't work
