so "shelling out = passion" so say you in your last post, as opposed to a "passing interest" for those NOT shelling out correct?

therefore if you spend 50 quid a home game and go to say 20 home games a season, thats a grand.

i go to 2 games a season usually, probably about a grand also, therefore, if i go to 3 games this season, that makes me the real fan, and gives me the right to question your "passing interest", correct?

just checking ive got that right, because i wouldnt want to acuse you of talking shighte.

i think going to most games, instead of three games a season proves my point adequately .lol

I think the point you make is definitely 'adequate' Marley. It's not very 'good', though, and certainly not 'fantastic' in its quality.

I think it would be a good idea for you to factor in the 'cost' in terms of time and effort of getting from Spain, or from other parts of the UK, to a Leeds game, even from France, compared to getting there from Rothwell. If you did, i'm sure you would realise that the money aspect is really just one aspect of being a real fan, whatever that is.

It's like the thing that always makes me laugh when some people criticise people for leaving their seat with a few minutes to go at a game. Yeah that's fine if you live down the road and you're going to walk it, or if you're going to hang around for a while near the ground in the pub or the stadium bar. But if you've got a two or three hour drive ahead of you, having just done the opposite drive the other way 2 hours before, the last thing you need is to sit in a car park for an hour waiting to get on with that drive home.

I think in all aspects to do with being a fan, sometimes it's worth putting yourself in other people's shoes, rather than just thinking you are the dogs bollox just because you live near the ground.

A lot of Leeds 'away' fans would probably think you're a lightweight, if you only go to home games, for instance. Or maybe they would just accept you're a Leeds fan just like them, and it doesn't actually matter how many games you go to, as to whether you are a 'real' fan or not.

One last example - my best mate lives in Ipswich - his son is 12, and he's been brought up a Leeds fan and every day he goes to school he sticks his head above the parapet and makes it clear that he's Leeds, in the face of hundreds of lads who support Ipswich (some) or Man City or Chelsea (most). I'd say that's a pretty hard thing to do, perhaps in some ways needing greater qualities as a fan than just getting a season ticket in Rothwell, and going to Elland Road every two weeks.

But i'm not one to judge - i think you're a great Leeds fan, just like me, my mate, my mate's lad, BB and all the other brilliant Leeds fans on here.

Every game I've been to is always an experience one way or another whatever decade ............ home or away.

Kings Cross to Seven Sisters Road mid 70's/80s and rammed in with 6000 others getting literally everything hurled at us from the Spurs boys on the Shelf for 90 mins and the walk back to the tube used to makes or break the passion of following Leeds in those days but nowadays being a fan of Leeds is a totally different scenario due to finance,Tv,social media and transport links but hey ho WALAW........... suppose it's an 'extended family' for me now in my old age.

leeds is merely a passing interest , not a passion , if you were shelling out every week it would be a different story.

you only have to read a matchday thread every week to see that and the same posters. lol

bottom line is i have a right to criticise , you lot would still be clapping if we were bottom of league 1 .

this forum as been full of wet farts like you for years, thats why its died a death ,

if it was not for two or three of you winding wtf up every five minutes , you would have nowt to post about lol

no originality in your posts , because as previously said your like lemmings , because its easier for somebody to think for you , than do it for yourself.

your the fella who thought burnley were jealous of leeds, because we were on sky tv more than them , you live in cuckooland fella .

i dont have a good word to say about our owners because they are a waste of space , same as cellino , gfh, and bates was, and i was proved right on every occasion , this time will be no different .
    What a f uckwitt!
Been a season ticket holder since 1988 not that that has anything to do with me being a better fan than anyone else...including you [Se if you can find a post on any home matchday thread from me]

You completely missed my point Mr Thicko - It's like saying you're a true Eastenders fan, never missed an episode - but complaining endlessly about how sh it the program is - then saying you have the right to criticise cos you're a true fan of the program.

So you've "shelled out" continuously for the last 15 years to watch a sh it team playing sh it football ....who's the fecking idiot then - you or some on here that don't shell out cos they can't or don't want to waste their money??

    Can't teach Pork though eh?

You're just a wind up merchant on here to take the p iss...and a thick as mince one at that!
