I'm happy we're looking at lower league youngsters though, I actually preferred the Nigel Clough years of trying to build a team rather than buy one

Derby County owner Mel Morris says a new "austere" regime is coming to Pride Park, slashing the club's budget after missing out on promotion. #dcfc

Please Lord let it be him!
I'd even accept them beating us at their place. Just let it be him.

    Amen

I might have lost 50 but I finished 30 quid up on backing against us in the 3 matches (2 playoff matches)

As for "austere" measures, he's splashing out on a rookie rebel, his big daddy Harry Redknapp might well be back here as well, not to mention another cockney rebel in Jody Morris, talk about trying to cut the wage bill ffs.

    The Rebel brigade ffs

    Absolutely spot on as usual.
It's a crying shame there aren't enough people like you in football. Both management and fans alike.

We have been in the Championship for over a decade... We have tried experienced managers, 1st time manager but experienced assistant and coach at the top level, returning managers and all have failed... Why not try an England/Chelsea legend! Everybody in the game thinks he has a great future as a manager...

MA, I agree with you yet again. I can't think of anyone who didn't rate him as a player, if he was in the press it was for primarily the right reasons and he seems to have a very level and well read head on his shoulders.

I have to say I would not be as comfortable if it were Gerrard as favourite for the job.

Time will tell but if I were to have £50 of DCFC's money on one of them making it in management I know where his money would be going.
