He is trying to convince me that rightys are a tiny number in the UK and i explained that when i, or anyone else, goes canvassing, you meet them regularly. Most don't vote though....except in the referendum. Their main gripes are that we have too many foreigners in our country and we have gone soft on law and order. Fair enough -- they are entitled to their views.

And I'm not trying to convince you of anything, I'm asking you to show me the evidence of the threat you claim to perceive from the Far Right in this country. How many councils are BNP, how many BNP MPs are there, how many votes did the BNP receive at the last GE ? I really don't know, but you claim they are out there in significant numbers, so give me the facts, give me the numbers. You're involved in local politics 59, you should have no problem accessing these figures, I don't percieve any threat from the Far Right, imo they have next to no support from the public and are insignificant in our politics. He won the mayoralty (is that a real word?) of lefty London, not once but twice, he took on the government, the media and the establishment in the EU referendum and won that. A year ago the consensus was that he was finished, most Tory MPs detested him, it seemed impossible for him to become leader, he'd never make it to the last two, he sailed into the last two and won the members vote comfortably. When are you going to wake up BT, to what has been the bleedin obvious for years, the man is an election winning machine. Underestimate him at your peril.
