BT : You hit a point there,(post 65), that of ,''no moral code,''. A code will not bring about morality. Today in Governments all over the world, we can see this diminishing moral standard. In your opinion ,or others? What will provide to us a ''moral standard / excellence?''

There are plenty of rightys who despise our country too.

He is trying to convince me that rightys are a tiny number in the UK and i explained that when i, or anyone else, goes canvassing, you meet them regularly. Most don't vote though....except in the referendum. Their main gripes are that we have too many foreigners in our country and we have gone soft on law and order. Fair enough -- they are entitled to their views.
Never heard of a righty before 59, is that a name for a Far Right Extremist ? And I'm not trying to convince you of anything, I'm asking you to show me the evidence of the threat you claim to perceive from the Far Right in this country. How many councils are BNP, how many BNP MPs are there, how many votes did the BNP receive at the last GE ? I really don't know, but you claim they are out there in significant numbers, so give me the facts, give me the numbers. You're involved in local politics 59, you should have no problem accessing these figures, I don't percieve any threat from the Far Right, imo they have next to no support from the public and are insignificant in our politics. Prove me wrong.

Yes I Admit Corbyn should be hung and quartered ,..For his reluctance to invest in our Nuclear Subs,...(OUR ONLY HOPE)..in conflict .
Are the Tories going to invest, in our Survival against , Not just Russia,.But the endless attacks from Muslims,.Here and abroad!!
I would gladly pay a little more in my taxes, If I Knew it was going on our Defence and Aiding our Military ,..I Really would.
Bloody heck bfcjon stick to knocking Mike Garlick! Nuclear subs of which we have three, are only operational one at a time because we can't afford to run the bloody things.
Three years ago I was at a conference when JC said bollox to Trident, let's invest in British shipyards and give the Royal Navy some proper boats. Looking at the present conflict with Iran in the Strait of Hormuz, I would have to say he was proven right (again!)

U.S. arms giants in running for £2bn Faslane contract as chiefs privatise submarine training

Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, two of the world’s biggest private arms companies, are in the running for a UK Government project called Selborne which is estimated to be worth £2bn over the next 12 years.

Politicians and critics of nuclear weapons and the arms trade have expressed concern, however, citing fears over safety, the US firms’ links to alleged human rights abuses and the creeping privatisation of the UK’s armed forces.

He won the mayoralty (is that a real word?) of lefty London, not once but twice, he took on the government, the media and the establishment in the EU referendum and won that. A year ago the consensus was that he was finished, most Tory MPs detested him, it seemed impossible for him to become leader, he'd never make it to the last two, he sailed into the last two and won the members vote comfortably. When are you going to wake up BT, to what has been the bleedin obvious for years, the man is an election winning machine. Underestimate him at your peril.

I'm intrigued Bt, has Jezza's Labour Party got something I was unaware of and could agree with here ? Our Navy, as you say, is currently a joke, what are Labour's plans to strengthen it ?

Sorry to say sinkov, we have Nia Griffith in the position of shadow defence minister who really does not have a clue about much at all really.

Ah well, never mind, I'm sure Boris will be boosting defence spending soon enough.
