I believe we had the 5th best form in the PL at the end of last season and we were playing some good football. That also seems to have been forgotten by some.
    Better post.

Yesterday for a good portion of that first half, i witnessed Newcastle play better attractive attacking football than we have done for a lot of years. Everytime we got the ball we looked dangerous and created chances.
and this against a team who have been taken over and had 100's of millions spent on the playing staff, a new world class manager etc and we were undone by our own sloppyness not their ability to beat us convincingly.

Yes Rafa was a world class manager, he is not here anymore, we need to move on.
We will never know what really went on, Ashley is a proven lier and i dont think the sun shines out of Rafa's arse either.

The tactics Bruce is getting slated for using are the same as what Rafa used yet Bruce is getting better results and even without our two top goalscorers from last season and the bloke still cant get a simple "well done" from many on here.

Its turned very sour on here, hate Ashley first, hate Bruce second, support the club third. Anyone with a balanced view who even dares to hint at the club doing well will be shot down.
    A very good post.

I accept a lot of your points.

...but, Rafa with backing would be a different beast to SB.

Lets not lose focus on who the real enemy is here. Unlike SB, he is his own man and tells it how it is. Its why the fans liked him and Ashley didn't

But yes, well done SB, you are likeable but even thats pushing it. Lets see if you can replicate Rafa's last half of the season with the 5th best form in the league.

After all you have a new striker worth 2 and a half times what Rondon is.

What's getting lost here is that a club with any sort of ambition should not be employing a manager like Bruce in the first place. But never mind.

Maybe we could've employed pellegrini or Silva or all the rest of the managers that were sacked who have much bigger names.

Or we can get behind Steve Bruce and give him a fair crack of the whip.

This time last season we had 18 points from 20 games.
This was from a man who was being paid 6 million a season and who had almost 3 years in charge to get it right.

Steve Bruce has had half a season and is on 25 points at the same stage of 20 games.

everyone should be entitled for their own opinion my friend, i just dont like it when people are thought less of it for having that opinion. As said before, this board has become a finger pointing contest at everyone who accepts Bruce.

I have absolutely no faith in the man but he is simply doing what any one of us would do with the tools he has.
Offered the job to manage his home town club ( who wouldnt do that )
Offered the chance to manage the club he supported as a kid ( who wouldnt do that )
Probably talked himself into thinking he may have a chance if he can get a few results.

but incase probabilities are too much for you, look at the cast iron facts! Steve Bruce is doing a better job in his first 10 games as manager of Newcastle United than Rafa Benitez did after years of working with the players.
