The proposed take over by ALK can’t come soon enough for me. The “Magnificent Seven” (aka BFC Board of Directors) have not shown much ambition over the last few years, but now it appears to have worsened in that we have a divided club with the chairman and manager rumoured not to be speaking to each other.
So if it is their intention to sell the club as reported then I would urge Garlick and the six others to get this deal done and leave as soon as possible so we may see some ambition return to Turf Moor making it a “Happy Place” once again.
This thread title reminds me of the famous sign in pubs, "Free Beer Tomorrow"
The best we can hope for warminster is that David's older sister takes up our vacant tea lady vacancy.

well, that can't be right.....S.D has repeatedly reminded us of his position...he knows nothing about the takeover - has nohing to do with the "buisness" side of the game, he just leaves it to them upstairs and gets on with the football - and now there's a divide - according to him - there always was.

It really is mind boggling the contempt our Board of Directors show for the EPL's longest serving manager...

Why is it taking so long to finalise ? ( if it ever does). It appears to be going on for weeks on end. Any other business transaction would have been sorted out by now.
It's not really taking that long. The Newcastle take over took much longer ----ooh ---wait a minute ----in spite of the length of time taken ---that hasn't happened at all and Mike Ashley was quite happy to take the money and walk, something which we are unsure of with our directors.
Football used to be such a simple game before silly money got involved!
It is an utter lack of respect for the man who has done so much for the club BT, it's a disgrace, shameful, that he is not kept at least informed about what the situation is. On the other hand it's probably best for him and the team that he knows nowt and just concentrates on the football side. I suppose you could say it might help if he were given some indication of how much he might have available to spend in January, but I'm sure he never has any idea anyway, of how much he might be able to spend in any given transfer window, so he's certainly no worse off than usual.
