Ross is a possibility but he's had a few goes now at Sunderland and Hibs and whilst a decent manager he's clearly no 'special' talent. I'd even prefer looking at some young managers in the lower English leagues who have so far improved the sides they've managed in difficult circumstances.
I’d have to agree with all of that . Goodwin has St Mirren punching above their weight ( or does he budget wise?) so someone is going to take a chance on him at a “bigger” club at some point to see what he can do with better facilities, resources etc. I think he’s well worth a punt if we can make it happen without spending stupid money trying to get him .

Speaking to a Buddie there, they seem to think it's about to happen. On the 'seen in Greggs' level, he's apparently been in Morrisons buying wine and chocs for the staff so he must be about to leave.

Just as long as he doesn’t get a train ticket back to Aberdeen too. That would be a step too far.

Likewise the havering, stuttering Ibrox 91 coward that was Smith, who was employed by Portaloo to coach our youngsters, which was his level, after being binned by Paisley.

I suppose the only thing that can stop it now is if I put in my application.

With Vintage and Brochred in the management group, it would be hard for them to resist.

Pretty much this. It's why Goodwin deserves the chance over Ross. Hoping the bigger budget, facilities and fan support is all that was missing to take him to the next level.
