Fits in to the brothers plans.
Nine years in the job at Old Trafford, but it’s a big step up into management. He’d need someone senior above him, I suspect, the same way Rooney has McClaren at Derby.

Gannon seems like another option, but given that Stockport fired him because they wanted to change the “culture” and appointed an U-23s coach from Brighton, I can’t see how he meshes with the Reedtz brothers’ plans.

Given a choice even you would Shirley choose McParland over Thompson !!

The Reedtz brothers statement ended with, "We are not inviting applications for the manager's position."

It's obvious - they're going to do the job themselves.

Never in a million years. With backing, Thompson might just get us out of this league. McParland would be a duller version of Ardley.

Always one of the most enjoyable periods as a Notts fan, although I suspect we won't have as long as usual to play the guessing game for the next manager. Hopefully that's the case.

Certainly will change the dynamic on NCM once a new man is in place.

Must say, without paying compo to someone I’m slightly concerned at the apparent lack of possibilities...this is a big moment for the owners.

    Doyle? Nicky Butt? FFS.
