I ruled out one guy because he hasn't had any success for years and then had a complete breakdown at Raith. You are ruling out literally hundreds of people because you don't think they have played at a high enough level or coached at a high enough level previously.

I'm not saying Courts should get the job, all I'm saying is I would not rule out anyone who has never managed before.

Every appointment is a risk. The vast majority of managers fail. There are 42 managers in Scotland and there are 7 trophies to win (4 leagues, 3 cups). So at least 35 managers every season don't win anything.

Nothing wrong with taking a risk every now and then.

Hell, you know who would be the ultimate risk - Emma Hayes from Chelsea

I haven't ruled out anyone? I'm disputing your claim that Courts is as equally qualified/suitable/experienced as the four guys you mentioned. If you want to make comparisons, at least find me someone who has only ever played lower league football & managed a junior team.

One of the greatest managers of all time

This guy was pretty decent too

Of course, but Davidson had 7 years as an assistant at Saints, Millwall, Stoke City. Gerrard was captain of one of the greatest teams in the world and worked under some of the best managers in the world etc etc. You get what I'm saying? Courts is being hailed as the next Jim McLean because he checked the flightchecker website to see if one of his players' plane had actually been delayed or not. There's a difference.

He's not really though. Just by a weirdo Daily Record reporter. People need to relax. I have zero idea what he would be like as our coach. But his level of experience is alarming to say the least.

If he gets the job, I'll be there when allowed to see how his team performs, if its consistently not good enough then he'll get punted. If he is successful then he'll have shut a lot of people up. Too much of a risk for me though. Unless his assistant manager is someone MASSIVELY experienced.

Yeah I understand ur point that they were far more experienced than courts and agree courts would be a massive gamble but really doubt it is true but I am often wrong never even believed MM was off till the other day.It is all out of my hands and will just have to see how it goes would be brilliant if courts was the next wee jum but really don't think he will be our next manager but worried whoever it is. Can't keep just changing managers every season.Stability is what we need to build a team and keep building like the mclean years.

I didn't realise Courts was assistant to Mourinho. My bad.
