Had to go to work early tonight so first chance to comment. Brilliant result, sounds like a much better performance too. Glad to hear all the positives, and 4th in the league too, bring on the Whistle!

I've thought that for the last few home games that the figures seem wrong

Like compare it to Sevco at home which was 4500, even taking into account them being spread out, no way there was less than that the last three home games
agree that the figure is wrong. It wasnt the best crowd of the season from my vantage point in ETL but no way was it 4500. i wonder why they are massaging the figures down? were they perhaps previously counting all STH - even if they did not attend a la green erse cheek?

Mark Ogren mentions the crowds in the Q & A in the recent DUSF meeting. i tried to upload the minutes but the file size is too big and its only 200k.

All I was trying to point out in the post you replied to was that increasingly coaches are using performance stats to base decisions on. Surely you understand that it's been used increasingly at United under TC?

It was someone else who mentioned Pep was to blame for a lot of this and tbf some of it started in the Netherlands. The poster who referred to Pep was spot on when he said it's fine when you've got the likes of Iniesta, Javi and de Bruyne but it can be taken too far when used with players at our level. Reason being that a poor stat at our level may see you left out of the side in favour of someone who (for example &#128526 covers a lot of ground in 90 minutes.

Performance Indicator Stats (PISS) don't cover a player's heart desire, bravery and attitude in the same way as say the number of touches he makes in an opponents half.

I'm not saying analysis is a bad thing but shouldn't be used at the exclusion of other less measurable attributes which I'm guessing at times Tam has.

Anyway we're 4th and heading for Europe so who gives a FF 🧡

Very happy for 3 members of staff tonight,1 Tam,been under a bit of pressure lately but always very dignified,2 Tony Watt, very well deserved goal with the effort he has put in during every match he has played for us,3 Kevin McDonald, you need to have some character to fight back from a major health problem to play at pro level again.

Kev Mc put in a great shift but of course it was all due to the lovely tangerine boots he was sporting. Marvellous stuff.
