Connor Washington set to be our first signing according to the Tizer with negotiations more advanced at this stage than those with Tom Eaves, although that also looks encouraging. Stockton is a none story and Friday is D day for a decision from Smudge and probably Ihikwe.

Not sure Brin. Washington was highly rated at Charlton and he had been stalling on a new contract but then the manager got sacked, so that may have had something to do with it. He seems a very hard worker and fits into the Smith type mould. I am hoping though that he is competing with Smudge rather than as a replacement, given the strength in depth we undoubtedly will need. He is also a team mate of Ferguson in the Northern Ireland set up.

Don’t think anybody is arguing against Connor Washington ? With a goal scoring record of 1 in 3 ? It’s Tom Eaves that’s a worry ! Although he is a big strong and skilful player he hardly ever played for Hull ? So that means he is injury prone or they did not rate him !! Plus there is no saleable value in either player due to their ages !

Washington yes from me rather than Grigg don't want most of our forwards 30 something. Kelly & Greaves want to see given a proper chance. A big no to Eaves.

Although having checked again most of his goals were scored along time ago, against St Ives ! Both players are only 8/10 goals a season players in recent years !
