If Butcher has been disciplined by the club to the point that he no longer plays, then that won't have been the managers decison.
Had my doubts over Courts’ appointment, and it has not changed. We (at the moment) are fourth, more to other team’s incompetence, than our own performance. Tony stated (previous season under Mellon) that our play was not acceptable, yet it has not changed, and still “eye bleeding”. Fed up with what I’m watching most weeks, and it has to change!

Edited to add: Surely team results (i.e. league position) trumps team harmony? Also suggests Courts is weak (IMO)
Its not something i had considered until today when i was listening to Radio Scotland. TCs name came up, and while i didnt catch the full gist of the conversation because i didnt hear the start, but i believe the panel were quite complimentary that TC appeared to be using the senior players to help out with the running of the team while other managers have failed by maybe doing things differently.

Now Butcher would have been one of those seniors and is hardly a shining example to set to others if he has strayed. Now i am torn between TC has done the right thing and binned Butch, or TC has been weak and not told his team council to man the feck up and get on with it. It does seem to be the norm that the guilt party is usually binned despite how much their contribution could have helped.

Im not so sure that the issues with Benji are all to do with what is going on and wonder if what we are seeing is because of changes in goalkeeping coaches?

So do you think our players should be excused for being losers because of their predecessors failures? As long as we have this mentality we will just be another sh1tty mid table team hoping to avoid a relegation scrap. Our aspirations have to be beyond this surely?

It seems you are only prepared to give TC credit for failure. If we were to finish the season with a Euro place it's everyone else's deficiencies and nothing to do with us. Bizarre.

You seem to be confusing fans mentality with the team's. 🤔

Entirely Terry. We were already 1 point ahead of each at the split with a better goal difference, we have each played one half of the old firm and we are now a point ahead of Motherwell and 3 points ahead of County with every opportunity of beating them next week.

Yes, every defeat hurts, but accepting the reality that we wont take many, if any points off the ugly sisters is sometimes better for the soul. I find calling out a looser mentality a bit strange when we have taken points off them this season, especially the tributes only getting 7-4 which maybe should have been 5-5?

What hurts and frustrates me more is loosing to some of the worst teams ive seen in the top flight along with the last 2 games v Hearts who i think were there for the taking while mostly playing the same eye bleedingly skite football season after season!

The fans mentality is pretty much down to what we see on the pitch.

I may have to wait to discuss this at a further time as I am seething with our display at Ibrox today and liable to allow my emotions to run amok.

Our players simply aren't good enough to compete at the level of the team we played today. If that's a loser mentality then so be it. It's reality for me. Years of 5 & 6 nil humpings makes a 2-0 defeat, when we've fielded a massively weakened side, not so bad. It's the way it is unfortunately.

True, and absolutely no one will care if we get the win next Saturday instead.
