    Worse than Burch?

It seems to me a very strange appointment. We will soon find out, one way or another. It isn't exciting me, to be fair, I know nothing about him. Are the brothers really just playing some weird game with Notts' future?

What's the alternatives?? I certainly don't want us to climb aboard the failed managers merry-go-round again that's for sure. Although having said that I find this appointment better than an ex PE teacher that's managed in Scandinavia. At least he has a fair bit of English football league experience.

He gets my support....unless we lose at Dorking, haha!

Eh?? I'm fine with the appointment and less of a gamble than IB. The Dorking bit is tongue in cheek

To be fair the plethora of managers we have employed in the last 20 years with EFL experience got us precisely nowhere for the most part. The PE teacher we employed did at least get us in the play offs twice. Perhaps the manager with EFL experience who looks like PEP and seems a bit like a PE teacher will be the silver bullet!

Exactly, many have been serial failers as well.

To be fair I'd be very worried if any manager/coach couldn't get the squad we had into a play off place though. We just need someone who can take what we have and make them perform away from home. Hopefully this is the guy.

While I too have to admit to being underwhelmed by the appointment, and the potential signings we've been linked with, I can also see no point whatsoever in deriding LW before he's even had chance to manage his first game at Notts. The best thing we can do is get behind him and the team to provide the best possible environment from the stands for LW to prove his credentials in the upcoming season; getting on his back from the offset is not going to help in any way at all.

We seem to have something of a knack at Notts for signing players who are terrible here, but go on to play brilliantly elsewhere; but here's hoping LW can buck that trend and become a manager who has been poor elsewhere, yet becomes very successful at Notts.

I’m not sure who some people expected we would get. The bros were always going to go the upcoming, not done a lot so far route. This guy has coached at different levels, and has a little bit of success. Making the League 1 playoff with a young team. According to him, doing so with the 18th biggest budget that season.
I’m looking forward to seeing how he puts his stamp on the team.
Time will tell whether this turns out to be more Fullerton than Warnock, but at least let’s give the guy a fair crack at it.
